  1. Now the offense is trying to screw this up.. God damn it.
  2. THE GREATEST EVER!!!! DEVIN HESTER YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!
  3. Ugh.. We needed 7 there. Got to start converting those into touchdowns when Detroit keeps giving us the ball back. Were good right now but I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us. Keep shutting them down defense.
  4. AHHH Hester let the kicker get him! Good field position now, lets put some more points on the board.
  5. Keep getting those takeaways defense!
  6. I am going to kill somebody if they don't change the F.UCKING GAME
  7. OMFG! SWITCH THE freakin GAME FOX! I DONT WANT TO WATCH THE SAINTS.
  8. I liked Paea's speed the other night against Vick. He seemed to have some very good closing speed to get to the quarterback. I don't know why he isn't starting over Adams or Toeina, but I think after another solid game, Lovie might start to lean towards him as a starter. We know he has the strength to bully any offensive lineman, but he's got to get better with his technique.
  9. Major Wright must be made of porcelain.
  10. I'm not doubting that during his time, Sayers was an incredibly gifted athlete who was some what of a rarity in the 60's. Football back then was no where near as competitive as it is today and so his numbers at the time, probably were HOF worthy.. maybe. I was just a little shocked to see how there was nothing eye catching about his rushing numbers to make you say "Wow".
  11. I don't know.. I get the fact that he was a flashy player and a spectacular athlete for his time but IMO his production on the field still doesn't warrant him being in the Hall of Fame. I mean, if I just showed you these stats without naming who the player was, I don't think you'd get anyone that would say "Those are Hall of Fame numbers." If Forte keeps performing like he has been for another season and a half, he will have crushed most of Sayers numbers and I don't think anyone here would say Forte is a future HOF'er.
  12. Maybe I didn't pay much attention to it before because I never saw him play, but I just took a look at his numbers and was shaking my head as to how they equate him into Hall of Fame status. Somebody help me out here. He plays 7 seasons, only rushes for over 1000 yards twice, he wasn't that effective in the passing game, and only had 7 150+ yard games in his career. Matt Forte has already doubled that. I know they only played 14 games during that era and he did some great things on special teams but to me, Sayers numbers are not even close to Hall of Fame worthy. Is Forte going to eclipse Sayers as the 2nd best Bears running back before his career is over? That might actually even be debatable as to whether he was even the 2nd best because Thomas Jones out performed him during his short tenure with the Bears.. http://www.nfl.com/player/galesayers/2524970/careerstats http://www.nfl.com/player/mattforte/234/profile
  13. Well in that case, you are right. Logic doesn't apply to Jerry Angelo. Although if we got the right DE to pair up with Peppers, it could be a pretty deadly combo.
  14. Maybe we should just never draft an OL in the 1st round ever again. We haven't exactly had the greatest luck in the world drafting them. Columbo, Williams, now Carimi, different guys, same story. I seriously hope Carimi doesn't become a bust like the other two but he's had knee issues before, if it becomes chronic, he may just be one of many busts this team has drafted over the years..
  15. The Lions are severely overrated. They still are not that good of a football team. The Bears will beat them easily by atleast a couple touchdowns. The Bears won't let Calvin Johnson run freely down the field again, and Stafford will throw you a couple of picks during the game if you pressure him. I expect a dominant win on Sunday at home. Julius Peppers will take over the game defensively and Cutler will have another solid performance with Forte carrying the load. I'm really confident in this game, even more so than I was against the Eagles. I don't believe the Lions are a playoff team and that will show on Sunday.
  16. Got to be a WR in round 1 IMO. We may have played ourselves out of the running for Michael Floyd but if he's there, you can't pass him up.
  17. Well.. you're not making the right observations because the line has played well since the Vikings game (Only 3 sacks in the last 3 games), but I'm done arguing over this. I brought up everything I had to say about it a few weeks ago with some clear and concise observations, and until I stand corrected, it's never been more clear than it was last night that a #1 WR could make this offense actually kind of scary, especially if the line continues to play like it has the last 3 weeks. Oh and the Bears as a team are among the leaders in dropped passes, so it's not like this is a new trend. It's been going on the whole season if you haven't noticed.
  18. Forte is going to get franchised next year.
  19. Well that's an irrelevant statement because nobody thinks that. Anyone with any sensible knowledge of football would have been able to see the futility of our group of WR's outside of Earl Bennett and how much it affected our ability to remain consistent throughout the game. I'm not sure exactly how many drops there was last night but I counted atleast 5. 3 of which were perfectly thrown balls by Cutler thrown 30 some yards down field to open receivers that couldn't make the catch. Roy Williams I believe had two gimmes and Hester had the one that bounced off his hands. Steve Smith makes those catches in his sleep. Normally those drops come back to haunt you but luckily, Philly couldn't turn us into a one dimensional team because the run game was destroying them.
  20. It didn't even take this game to find that out. Earl Bennett has always been the Bears best WR since Cutler came to Chicago. They have real chemistry that he doesn't have with the other guys. Imagine having Earl run freely with a true #1? He should be an automatic 90-100 rec 800-1000 yard receiver year in and year out.
  21. 9 Seconds to go.. I would just run around the field and possibly take a safety to end the game rather than kick to Jackson.
  22. Damn, that was another close to being an interception there by Jennings. Come on defense, hold them on these next two plays! Finish the game.
  23. Now, for the love of God, please don't go into prevent mode with 3:58 left to go in the game. Play the normal defense and just win out.
