  1. I said it before but we MUST atleast split one of these next two games to make the playoffs. Or to atleast have a shot. I thought going into the Tampa Bay game we would have to go atleast 3-1 or 2-2 in our next 4 to have a realistic shot.
  2. Well atleast we know now we'll be able to throw the ball down the field against them.
  3. They just released him because he wasn't going to play special teams and Lovie didn't want him taking up a roster spot if he was just going to stand on the sidelines. They probably did him a favor by releasing him so he could catch on with another team because they could have just kept him for some depth, because lord knows Major Wright is going to get injured again at some point this season.
  4. TO and Roy Williams Part II?? Idk about that. Didn't work very well in Dallas when they were both a couple years younger, not sure what to think of it now. If he's completely recovered from his knee injury and can make all the cuts necessary I'd think about it.
  5. This kind of reminds me of how they started the 07-08 season when Roy Williams was yapping about how they should be scoring 40 ppg in the Martz offense and they had Kitna guaranteeing a playoff birth. I believe they started the season off at like 6-2 and then collapsed to a 7-9 season. Now I think this team is perhaps a little better than the one back then but this Detroit team is starting to show signs of major regression. They are 5-2 now. I never expected them to win the division in the first place and I think we have the chance to out play them the rest of the way if we can beat them a couple weeks from now. I think they end up at 9-7/8-8 and still have a chance at the last wild card spot available, along with the Bears. I haven't figured out how the Bears season is going to go, still waiting on these next 3 games because I think that will determine whether they will have a legit shot at making the playoffs. They have got to go atleast 2-1 I think in these next 3 games to put themselves in fair position. 3-0 puts us in the drivers seat. 1-2 we are on the outside looking in, and 0-3 pretty much puts us out of it.
  6. I'd keep Webb as LT, put Carimi back at RT and move Lance Louis back to RG. That's the way it was for the first two weeks of the season and we did a pretty good job for a game and a half until Carimi went down and Omifail had to come in against the Saints.
  7. This. Time is on the Bears side. Forte can't go anywhere for atleast another two years with the franchise tag. I don't expect them to use it twice on him but I wouldn't be surprised if they can't come to some sort of agreement this offseason, a Franchise tag will be used and then another team would have to give us two firsts if they wanted to trade.
  8. I thought it had something to do with his ribs? Probably broke one or two. Or it coulda been his sternum. Steve McNair missed almost the entire season with a bruised sternum. The Bears probably aired on the side of caution with whatever injury it was. I'm sure he'll be back at full strength right after the bye and like i said, it'll be good to get him back.
  9. I'd take Spencer out, move Luis back to RG and put Carimi at RT.
  10. Its hard to say. Carimi really isn't the greatest pass protector-- He's probably average in that category. His specialty is in run blocking and that's generally what most RT's are best at. I'd keep him where he's at, atleast for this season and then re-evaluate him after the season.
  11. He is our most clutch defensive player. He's always making plays, almost had a couple sacks today as well.
  12. We can't even blitz with 8 guys and get pressure. Where has Julius Peppers been all day? Did he even dress?
  13. Just a joke. We had 6 plays to score 7 points inside the 10 and we come away with a FG opportunity. I can never get excited about this team its ridiculous.
  14. I hate this offense so much. This should be a 30 point blowout by now with the way the defense has played today. Just disgusting to watch and now we are letting them back in this game. Unbelievable.
  15. Cutler has been atrocious today as well. Two terrible decisions that have cost us good opportunities to score points. That is unacceptable.
  16. The same one you are. 21 points is bad when you look at what kind of field position our defense has put us in with all their takeaways.
  17. That was not a fumble, Lovie should win this challenge.
  18. Is Hester going to field a punt today or..?
  19. Even our running plays look like crap. Why does Forte get so damn close before Cutler is ready to hand that off? He does it all the time and I don't get it. Their timing is way off on the handoffs.
  20. Can we cut Major Wrong yet? Sick of his ass always being injured.
  21. That doesn't say alot for the Bears quarterback history, lol. If we get weapons around him, he'd routinely throw for over 4,000 yards a season. I can't wait to see what he does when and if that ever happens.
  22. The next 4 games will decide whether or not the Bears will make the playoffs as a Wildcard winner. I actually think the next 3 games should be wins. Tampa Bay is pretty much an identical clone to us but worse, the Eagles can't defend the run and if you get after Vick he will throw a couple picks in your favor, Detroit isn't as good as there record says they are and we got them at home. The San Diego game will be the toughest matchup in these next 4 games IMO. 3-1 puts us at 6-4. If we go 1-3 or worse, you can count us out and we can start positioning ourselves for the best draft spot we can get. Even going 2-2 puts us in an up hill battle, especially when we will still have a game against Green Bay and Oakland, who looks to be a playoff team this season.
  23. It'll be good to get both he and Carimi back after the bye. Lance has been doing a nice job as the RT in his absence.
  24. I stopped reading at "He's no Leader."
