It's a stupid rule. Especially when you consider the fact that if a player reaches the ball across the goaline, it's a touchdown no matter if the ball pops out after it hits the ground. I don't know how this play is any different. Johnson was robbed, I don't feel one bit of good about this victory. Offense was hideously bad and the defense was great up until the final drive.

We didn't win that game. If I were a Detroit fan I'd be livid. Such a stupid rule.
-
Unbelieveable
-
Lovie must have been playing too much Madden.
-
Lol @ were still losing!
-
Why the hell did we not kick a field goal? It's the 4th quarter!
-
If that wasn't the most embarassing thing you've ever seen Idk what is. Horrendous play calling and horrendous execution by Forte and the Offensive line.
-
Holy shit, LOL we couldn't even gain 2 inches!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst offense ever~!
-
We can't even get into field goal territory.. jesus christ
-
Were going to lose because our offense is atrocious.. To freaking Detroit without Stafford! Nobody is making ANY plays this half when we should be killing this team.
-
This offense has been so bad. Jesus, how many times are we going to punt after great field position? The Lions defense isn't even that good!
-
There is no discipline on this football team. 3 turnovers in one half with a non existent running game and a hold your breath passing game. If we can't beat the damn Lions we might as well fold the tent, our schedule is ridiculous..
-
That's game.
-
How about a sack? There has been zero pressure on Stafford so far in this game. Same old same old..
-
OMG we are awful.
-
Just bad. We've had good field position 3 times and we turned it over twice and gained 6 yards on that last drive.
-
And just like that, we're losing.. freakin Detroit. Put Chester Taylor in please.
-
I'll go Bears but it won't be pretty. 21-20. I can see the Bears getting off to their usual slow start all the way into the 2nd half. They'll probably be down most of the game and then late when you think they're just about to fold the tent, Stafford probably throws a pick or fumbles and we get the ball back in good territory to take the lead late in the game and the Lions will miss a field goal in the last remaining seconds to allow the bears to come away with a win. Cutler- 21-40 240 yards 2 TD 2 INT Forte- 13 carries 71 yards 1 TD (Gets stopped most of the day with the exception of one big run over 20 yards) Chester Taylor- 3 carries 4 yards/ 3 rec 37 yards Hester- 3 rec 35 yards Knox- 7 rec 92 yards 1 TD Aromoshadu- 6 rec 61 yards 1 TD Olsen- 2 rec 15 yards
-
Knox reminds me of Desean Jackson without the cockiness.
-
Don't trust Martz.
-
Knox and DA are our only legitimate WR's. Bennett will be cut next year and Rashied Davis is 32 years old. There is no argument to be made that suggests you keep Rashied Davis who gives you nothing over Iglesias who is atleast still young to prove something. It comes down to either Angelo being a crappy talent evaluator or Lovie and his staff not being able to make anybody better.
-
LMAO @ keeping Rashied Davis over Iglesias. God damn this Bears organization is the dumbest in the entire NFL. Guarantee you Iglesias makes it on another team this year and becomes a really good player. The guy is still young! But of course our idiot coaching staff can't find a place for him amongst our superstar WR's! Then we go and cut Gilbert. Angelo is the biggest idiot GM I know. Maybe we should just trade all of our 3rd round draft picks from now on because we end up cutting them after a year anyways. This just pisses me off beyond belief. I can't wait until we have a TOTAL revamp of our organization from Owners to coaches. CANT WAIT!
-
Let's trade for Darelle Revis!!
-
Special teams will be alright. We never played with the real starters for much of the preseason anyways.. Martz will only be our OC for a year anyways after Lovie is fired. His offense won't work with a bad offensive line and Cutler isn't the smart quarterback you need to run that system. If I were to play to Cutler's strengths then it's obvious you do what Shanahan did when he was Denver's coach. The West coast offense is perfect for Cutler because he gets rid of the ball quickly and alot of the routes make for easier passes. IMO in order for Martz to be successful here he's going to have to run screens more than your usual NFL team runs them. Also have alot of roll outs to allow Cutler to avoid some of the pressure in his face.

Which makes absolutely no sense considering the tougher throw is to the outside.. But of course Lovie still has faith in the Cover 2..
