Supposedly the Chiefs are floating Eric Berry out there for a 2R pick. More than just a few websites are reporting this, but none of them are really mainstream websites. Because of that I'm not really buying it. Also the fact that the Chiefs seemingly don't have an option behind him is another reason to question things.

 

But in the off chance it's true I'd absolutely love for the Bears to make it happen. Hekk I'd give em a 2nd rounder next year too.

We could say something stupid like that and it will have legs, people throw something out there and it turns reality. He aint done with this, lets see how it plays out. Your guy Vereem may turn out to be a suprise, we just dont know yet.

I don't think the Bears can afford him within their cap space, otherwise I'd trade a 2nd for him in a heartbeat.

Even if the rumor is true, what I saw said Atlanta was the trading partner. So we'd need to sweeten it a lot since they draft well ahead of us today. And then there's the cap issue also mentioned in this thread.

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to see Berry in Chicago, but it ain't happening because of $$ and DT need.
