I looked up this stat because I couldn't believe how we never heard his name being called. I heard one of the guys on the score or espn1000 say that he celebrated because he had not gotten a sack yet but was getting good pressure.

 

I disagree with the celebrating a sack when down 4000 points. From this stat tho it looks like Houston maybe wasn't a bad FA signing.

Not sure how he looked against the run, but I remember reading he was pretty good against the run.

The pressures/hurries stat was brought up a lot this offseason. Last year Young lead the league, or was near the top of the league, but only had 1 sack or whatever...This year he's been finishing...and fishing a lot more.

 

 

You are kidding right? He had 8 pressures, 1 sack, 2 stuffs, 3 tackles for loss, and 11 total tackles in a HALF of a season. 11 tackles is good for 446th in the NFL, TFL is 105th. There are 250 NFL players with at least one sack, and 128 have more than 1. For $5 million cap hit and a $35 million contract?

 

The tackles are hilarious, that basically means every team has 14 players with 12 or more tackles.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many snaps Houston played at DT versus DE? I know he did spent some time filling in for Ratliff. I'd also be curious what his productivity is between the two positions.

I haven't seen snaps broken down by position, but based on his overall stats, he sucked at DT and sucked a lot at DE.
