Add Buffalo

Apparently Marrone asked for an extension and was told no, so he opted out (and gets to keep $4 mil), wow:

This just adds another team to the HC hunt, unless he decides to go to one of the other teams, then it would be a wash.

I was impressed with what he did in Buffalo this year. Beat every team in the NFC North. Did it with a bad QB, and got that defense to improve as the season went along.

Marrone wouldn't be the worst hire in the world. Buffalo didn't have a ton of talent and still managed to be a pretty good team..he's behind others on my list but he'd be up there

Saw this on ESPN:

Another potential coaching candidate being linked to the Bears is former Bills coach Doug Marrone, who opted out of his contract on Wednesday, and reportedly told his team via text message that he wouldn’t be back for 2015. According to the New York Post, Marrone, who posted a record of 15-17 in two seasons, also is scheduled to interview with the Bears.

I actually liked what he did in Buffalo.

I thought he did a good job in Buffalo but I don't like the way he ultimately exited and don't think he's anyone that you run and jump at. I think there are better candidates out there. Let him go to the Jets.
