Eagles Close to Acquiring Sam Bradford for Nick Foles

Featured Replies

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Foles didn't play so well last year but he fought through injuries. Bradford fights injuries every year.

End result was Rams got the better QB and better draft picks (including a 2nd rounder next year). I don't understand this one. I am not a Foles fan by any stretch but I'd rather have him than Bradford.

Foles reminds me a lot of McCown. He got to destroy a lot of the same awful defenses McCown did in 2013, then was dreadful the following year.

Is Chip Kelly playing Madden 2010?

So they swap QBs and the Eagles get a 2015 5th-round pick, and 2016 3rd/4th-round picks.

Rams get a 2015 4th-round pick and 2016 2nd-round pick.

The 2nd round pick alone is worth more than the 3rd/4th/5th that the Eagles got (unless they win the SB making the Rams take pick#64). Either way a 2nd and a 4th is more valuable than a 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

and if I am reading this correctly, Phillly just took on $11 mil in cap (unless they cut him?).

The initial report was Philly swapping 1st's with STL, which would make sense for Mariotta, but they actually have worse draft picks, less cap space, and a worse QB.
