I don't think he's expensive.   I believe he's still on his rookie contract that looks like it runs out next year.  (All that said, I don't expect him to last past his rookie contract.)

When I stated expensive I meant where he was drafted. I thought he was a 2nd round pick but he was drafted in the 3rd round. 

I expected him to win the end position opposite Hicks although it looks like we play in nickel a lot with 2 DL, 4 LB’s and 5DB’s unless I’m mistaken. That would drop his potential playing time I suppose. 

We certainly want to see him develop into a starter but at this point it seems his career will be spent as a backup player.
