Just saw the news; Irv passed away. He was absolutely one of my favorites in the football broadcast business. He seemed like an outstanding human being. Rest In Peace Mr. Cross.

Remember seeing him with the Eagles and Rams. RIP.

I actually saw him play a year or two. 

Yes I remember Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder and how the gambling line and picks were introduced way back.He lost his job in a way that is very frequent today and I believe that he got ambushed. The quotes attributed to him in a casino after he had a couple of cocktails was unprecedented at the time. Most of the reports would keep things off the record back then.

yeah he got cancelled, but before that it was kind of funny because it gave the show a bit of a seedy edge, since they were acknowledging the gambling lines in ways other shows didnt. Made it kind of rock and roll.

Yep they were it outside of Giff, Dandy Don, and Howard. Love  that group!

"You are looking live at Solider Field". I always liked it when  Brent used to start the show with that or any other stadium.
