Jaylon out for awhile, might need surgery

Featured Replies

Looks to be out for awhile or possibly the entire season. Crazy think players can get hurt outside of work and basically get workers comp.

Good reason for a fire sale I guess. Clean house at deadline and reset for next year.

Use this year for offensive development and to evaluate players.

Most likely out for the season.  I don't know how much time they have to decide but there is a chance he could return late, like almost playoff time.

I do not think the Bears need to consider this and tell him get healthy for next season.

I expect to see a few CBs at Halas Hall tomorrow.  Below is a list of FA from Fantasy Sharks.  I haven't studied to see if any played for DA or Al Harris, but with Stevenson giving a free catch every target, the Bears might need 2.

I really hope they do something because in addition to JJ being out, Stevenson has been brutal. Literally the worst CB in the league with QBs having a perfect passer rating throwing at him. Why even throw anywhere else? Just spot him presnap and that is your read.

I was looking into the JJ situation and found an interview he did on The Score.  He stated that he initially tore his adductor muscle doing coverage drills with wide receivers a week before training camp.  After rehabbing, he felt strong enough to play, even though he had soreness in the area.  IMO-that's on the Bears.  He said he was not pressured to play, but felt a personal sense of urgency.  Soft tissue injuries are still at high risk of reinjure if you are sore. (Especially, the tiny adductor muscle in the groin.  Been there!). He said the current injury is new, but similar.  Since his surgery, he's stated that the procedure was successful and expects a full recovery.  He gave no timeline for return, be we may see him mid to late December.
