Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears TE Greg Olsen has been one of the most impressive players during the team's minicamp and offseason workouts. He continues to beat linebackers on pass patterns down the field.

Hopefully it's a sign of things to come this upcoming season.

Good to hear. Hopefully that dope Ron Turner uses him to his strengths, unlike last year. Hopefully a lot more touches in the red zone and o long 3rd down situations.

I think he will have a better year than last. As a rookie, he actually had a fairly good yr considering he missed the first 2 games do to injury.

Peace :dabears

If he is used correctly he can be such a monster target. His skill set reminds me a lot of Tony Gonzalez but obviously not as polished. Theres is no reason he shouldnt lead our team in receptions.

Will teams have to bring in Nickelbacks to defend Olsen? If so, there should be some nice holes for the ground game.

Thats what it sounds like. Urlacher is about the best there is in coverage for a linebacker so Im sure the coaches will know how other teams coverages will work on Olsen. There arent many linebackers with enough speed to cover him.

Olsen is going to have a big year.

Mark it down. :)
