Has a $6.54m salary atm. Wouldn't take pay cut.

 

But may now sign for less.

 

This is basically the same scenerio that brought Ruben Brown to the Bears a few years ago and it worked out quite well for us.

 

Now that he is without a paycheck he may very well sign for less and would be a good stop gap measure for us.

I don't think we need to rush to get Willie......because he still has a bad knee from last year when he miss all but the first 6 games and the same goes for Bently. Now granted they would be good for this team and have an impct form day one when they get on the field, but we need to make sure they can get and stay on the field.

Itd be a solid pickup, much better than wasting a spot with Fred Turnstile Miller or Ruben Brown

I read he might return to Cincinnati, but that was just coach talk.
