March 2, 200917 yr comment_59344 Per ESPN, Jason Taylor was just released by the Redskins. He was injured last year and only started eight games. I think he would be worth a couple years depending on what he is looking for. What do you guys think? Report

I was listening to Sportscenter and Michael Smith was saying he would be best fit for a team that just needs a pass rushing DE and not an every down player. Isn't this exactly what we need. Report

Isn't this exactly what we need. Maybe . . . but chances are he'll be a one year player with whoever he signs with. We already have Wale who's done after this year. He'd immediately upgrade our team, but: 1. He'll be expensive. He had the choice to stay with the Redskins, but refused to do the off seasons workouts with the team. He walked away from 8 million basically. He's not going to play for cheap. 2. I still say we need to draft a stud DE in the first round to put pressure on Brown & Wale. Unfortunately, most mocks don't have any DE worth the pick near that spot. Which means we either trade up (not likely), trade down (more likely, depending on what happens with the OT position this offseason, or draft the best DE available in round 2. To me, the last makes the most sense. Report
March 3, 200917 yr comment_59362 Didn't he have like 4 sacks last year, IIRC? Pass. The Redskins were also 28th in the league in total sacks (the Bears were 22nd). If you only have 1 guy who's a threat and you can't generate pressure from the other guys, your one guy who's a threat faces double teams and a RB and really can't do much. I can't say for certain this happened to Taylor without watching the video. But you put Reggie White on a team with no other pass rush threat and he isn't doing that much because of the wall of men in front of him. Report
March 3, 200917 yr comment_59366 Taylor was hurt all year. He hurt his knee early in then had some wierd calf injury that put him out awhile. He has never been hurt before, and tried to play through it last year. He is kind of a diva, but he's good and he plays hard. As far as him walking away from 8 mil, he was walking away from the off-season regimen. They wanted him to come to Washington 3 times a week to work out, and he has 3 little kids at home. He didn't want to do that, he wanted to work out at home and see his kids in teh off-season. We have like 30 mil in cap room, we can afford to take a gamble on a large, short-term contract. Report
March 3, 200917 yr comment_59367 I would love to get him. We could just use him as a situational pass rusher and we wont have to commit to him long term so we wont have to worry about the cap since we got plenty of space for the time being. Report

We aint doing anything else with the money we have. Give him 3 million for a one year deal with incentives of another 5 mill if he gets over 10 sacks. One year out with a big year will cement his legecy. How about Holiday on the cheap, he was cut by Miami? Report

Another guy I'll take a respectful pass on. Report
