The Bears should still be looking for offensive line help

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 2, 2011, 5:51 PM EDT

Getty ImagesThe Bears poked around the offensive line free agent market over the last week without acquiring any tackles.

They have moved J’Marcus Webb to left tackle and rookie Gabe Carimi has reportedly looked like he belongs at right tackle. They are also trying to replace Olin Kreutz at center, where they say new pickup Chris Spencer will have to earn a starting job.

Yes, the Bears offensive line remains a big concern.

Yes, it sounds like they are still looking for help.

“I think we would all like to have a couple more veteran linemen,” Martz said Tuesday, before noting that every team might feel the same way.

Not every team has as many questions as the Bears. Chicago seems unlikely to add a starter at this point, but they should keep an eye for possible options to improve their depth.

Perhaps Mike Tice count entice his old buddy Bryant McKinnie to stay in the NFC North.

Martz says we still need to add a couple of FA O lineman. The problem is with that is who is left?
