Denver @ Chicago, 8/9/11, Preseason Game Thread #1

Featured Replies

Don't we all!

I can't see it live, but I'll watch the replay I'm recording on the NFL network at midnight.

What I'm looking for:

1. How Smack (ShaneMcClellin) looks

2. How Jeffrey looks

3. How does the 1st string OL look against some good pass rushers

4. How does Campbell look

5. How does Bush look

6. Does Rodriquez get any time.

Other than that, I'm not worried about much at this point.

Yeah, so I had to open the year's first game thread. I can get excited about the little things.

Wow what the hell? No Jay Cutler tonight? Why??

I am guessing because he had a kid yesterday.

Defense didn't look great the first drive. Manning just walked down the field, and there was very little pressure.

Thankfully DJ Moore is still a ball-hawk and got his hand on a pass right before the goal-line. Credit that INT to Moore just as much as Wright.

Cutler not in on the first drive. Campbell time.

Cambell looking like crap so far. Would be nice to see him throw the ball more than 3 yards down the field. Also Webb picking up where he left off..

He's definitely leaving a good first impression on the field

0-11 on 3rd Down on the night. Team looked pretty bad, hopefully it is just us keeping the playbook simple and not showing our hand. Defense didn't look any better.

For those who got to see it, count yourselves lucky. The rest of us have to watch it on DVR, or some other method, already knowing how horribly the Bears played.

All I know is I saw the first series on defense, and it wasn't pretty. Manning carved the Bears up.

And I got to see the first series on offense, and it was equally ugly.

Don't think anyone can tell a thing from last night's game. I'm not sure the O Line played as poorly as stated above. Shea had some nice plays and then got rolled on the GL. Don't think he belongs in there on short yardage. Basically that's it. It was more like a scrimmage than a preseason game.
