BearFan2000
ball game gents.. they're going to cal a horseshit horsecollar Refs clearly helping Minny today. Picking up penalties that would help us, throwing bogus ones that help minny.... last three weeks, we've been getting screwed at critical points in these games. BearFan2000
unless we come up with a block season is over. We killed ourselves when we let them off the hook on 4th and long on their goal line....

BearFan2000
NO GOOD DAMN!!!!!!!! we actually got a favorable call that wasn't a face mask. Gotta take advantage of this.
Bears4Ever_34
You have got to be kidding? LOL. That Vikings player should be cut tomorrow. First he drops a TD pass that winds up being a pick, and then he commits a facemask on the game winning FG. Unreal.
'TD'
It's really odd going for it here.

southsideirish71
I do not understand Trestman these days. Bizarre.... You have one of the most accurate kickers in the game. Why risk a turnover. He missed, it happens.
Bears4Ever_34
I know it's only his first year, but I'm beginning to grow tired of Trestman's decision making already. I credit him for changing the offense, but he's been pretty bad at everything else.
southsideirish71
Yea especially after both the Bears and Vikings iced him. Iced him? These kickers are "iced" all the time. How many times does it really un-nerve the kicker. How many game winners happen after the kicker is "iced".
scs787
really had nothing to do with the length though. He "shanked" it. Dude came a few yards from hitting a 66 yarder, you'd think a 47 yarder would be a gimme.
BearFan2000
miserable day Gents..... lets be honest this team wouldn't have done a thing in the playoffs.. FU Vikings..... I F'ng hate them.

If you lose yardage on two consecutive plays, you suck. Had the kick been inside of 40, kicking it would be understandable. Not 47. That is so damn conservative. Gould nails it and we're not having this conversation. We were frankly lucky to even have a shot at winning because minny screwed up a golden shot to win. How is it conservative to go for the win in OT. You end the game when you can. The more plays you run, the more likely a stupid play is going to happen. Ask the Vikings about that one. How many game winners happen after the kicker is "iced". http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/i...info-answered-2 What is the field goal accuracy rate after a kicker is “iced” compared to not being “iced?” – asked by @mikeregister Since 2001 (including the playoffs), kickers have successfully hit field goals at an 81 percent rate when no timeout was called prior to the snap, and 76 percent when a timeout was called. However, it’s worth noting that the average distance on “iced” kicks is 39 yards, compared to 36 yards on kicks on which timeout was not called. Also interesting: In overtime, the average distance of kicks after timeouts and kicks with no timeouts called is about the same (37 yards). In that instance, “icing the kicker” by calling timeout works. Kickers hit only 69 percent when “iced”, 87 percent when they are not. It matters. Especially on a 47 yarder and having to sit there through 2 time outs after warming up. They shouldn't have tried that on second down no matter how you look at it. Why settle?
