  1. Past hour
  2. I agree 100%. As good as 6-3 feels and the fact that Caleb has been the catalyst, we’ve beaten some lousy teams. With the way the D and ST are playing it wouldn’t surprise me if we go 0-4 over the next four weeks. If we go 2-2 over those games the playoffs are within reach.
  3. Yeah, I wish I felt better about this game than I do. McCarthy isn't an NFL starter, but I don't have confidence in this defense to make him look terrible. As long as Ben Johnson continues to use Swift more than Monangai, I'm not as confident in this run game against the Vikings. Swift just doesn't have the physical presence that Monangai does running down hill. He gives them some extra juice, and picks up those hidden yards that Swift generally does not do. If Johnson continues with the same script next week, I think that's going to be a big mistake, along with keeping Burden off the field. I hope he's smart enough to recognize this.
  4. Today
  5. CGJ is an above average player. With all the mistakes Poles has made this one appears to be a win win for literally nothing.
  6. Week 11 - 1. Maye - 55.2 - 270 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT, 1 sack, 13 Rush Yds. 283 Total Yards. Won. Season QBR: 72.9, 2555 yards, 19-5 TD-INT, 35 Sacks, 2 TD 2. Williams - 71.8 QBR - 220 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 0 sacks, 63 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD. 283 Total Yards. Won. Season QBR: 58.0, 2136 yards, 13-4 TD-INT, 14 Sacks, 3 Rush TD, 1 Rec TD. 3. Nix - 53.4 QBR - 150 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 sack, -2 Rush Yds. 148 Total Yards. Won. Season QBR: 54.7, 2126 yards, 18-8 TD-INT, 10 Sacks, 3 Rush TD. 4. Penix - 29.9 QBR - 177 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks, 1 FL. 176 Total Yards. Lost. Season QBR: 53.7, 1826 yards, 9-3 TD-INT, 13 Sacks, 1 TD, 2 FL 5. Daniels - Gumby Arm. DNP. Season QBR: 50.8, 875 yards, 7-1 TD-INT, 13 Sacks, 2 FL. 6. Rattler - DNP. Season QBR: 49.6, 1450 yards, 8-4 TD-INT, 1 FL (benched for rookie). 7. McCarthy - 18.7 QBR - 248 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 sack, 48 rush yds. 296 Total Yards. Lost. Season QBR: 26.8, 692 yards, 5-6 TD-INT, 15 Sacks, 2 Rush TD.
  7. This time around we've got the running game that we didn't have in week 1. It will help a lot when Minn presses the LOS.
  8. To be fair the Giants LT kept blocking inside giving CJ a free run to the QB. You could say those sacks belong more to the DC if that was something seen on film study. Still CJ has to make the play that's put before him and he did.
  9. For all of us: We are gonna play some tough teams, and we are going to have some losses. Get ready for it. It doesn't mean the sky is falling, we will either show that we are a lot better than we've been, or we will get our asses kicked a few times, and grow from the experience. I think we are about 50/50 to make the playoffs, but if we dont, it doesnt mean everything needs to be scrapped and start over. I still think we are on pace to where we are going. Hopefully, we beat some good teams, but if we don't we will learn what the level of effort really is thats needed to beat good teams. And thats a lesson we need right now. We arent giving enough in all phases.
  10. It could be short lived, but I believe this is the first time the Bears would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. They're the 7th seed currently. If the Packers lose tomorrow, I think they fall to the 7th spot and the Bears move up to 6h. Big losses for the 49'ers, Vikings, and Panthers today gives the Bears a slight cushion. The next two weeks become another inflection point for this team. Win both and your chances of making the playoffs grow considerably. Lose both and your season is probably over. Split, and you're still alive, but the road gets infinitely more daunting with PHI and GB coming up right after.
  11. Yesterday
  12. 7-3 would be fantastic. And we are going to start being challenged most of the next weeks, and thats good - win or lose we need that challenge to see where we are, and hone that blade for next year.
  13. I definitely agree that burden should move up the depth chart this week and replace Zaccheus. We can wait and see about DJ in the offseason. But LOL @ your DJ's dad comment hahaha
  14. Yeah, Burden had some nice routes, and he catches the ball. Oz had 4 targets and 1 reception. Burden was 3-3. Loveland was 4-4. Loveland's 17-game pace over the last 3 weeks: 74-1,195-11 TD.
  15. It is time to give Burden the snaps. He is a hungry player, maybe too much of an exhibitionist, but can be a playmaker. I dont think Burden replaces Moore next year, but Zaccheus is without question. With all the playmakers, its Rome one week, Moore the next. I heard DJs dad tweeted after the game.
  16. and that followed this game: A 35% chance to win from your own 28 with 42 seconds left, LMAO!
  17. Williams still on pace for 4K, now on pace for 4,034 Passing Yards and 464 Rushing Yards. That is 4,500 Total Yards. On pace for 25 Passing TDs, and 32 TDs overall, and only 8 INTs. Williams has now has gone his last 85 passing attempts without an INT.
  18. so you're saying there's a chance? lol When the Patriots were down to the Falcons in the Superbowl, it was 1% for them to come back. But Im sure a lot of us said "well, it's not over, Brady is a winner and can do amazing things" some players are just winners. Caleb is a winner. I think Luther Burden should get promoted to WR3 this week. Zaccheus would be demoted, and he earned that.
  19. The Bears come in as 2.5 dogs to MIN in MIN. It seems that some teams have figured out the MIN defense. They have allowed 27, 24, 37, and 28 in the last 4 games, and are 1-3 in those 4. MIN has scored 19, 27, 10, 22, 21, and 21 in the last 6 games. McCarthy does not look NFL-ready, he threw 2 INTs and now has 6 on the season in 4 games. Unfortunately, I feel like this is going to be another nail biter, I am thinking Bears 27-24.
  20. 6% chance to win after the incompletion on 2nd and 10 with 5:35 to play.
  21. and we still might get JJ back in December too, unless I missed something (someone please correct me if theres been more news?) The pass rush is the issue. You KNOW we are addressing that this offseason. If picks 1 and 2 went to DL I would be fine with that. I would be fine with an all defense draft, although we should look at a LT somewhere too.
  22. Yeah, and if Gordon comes back and they both play like this, this defense would be much improved instantly.
  23. CJGJ- this is what Kyler Gordon was supposed to have been doing all year. Glad we gave this guy a chance and we can see a staple of DA defense work.
  24. 3 pt swing on Wright's dropped INT. Giants scored 3 pts after Jarrett's phantom penalty. Could easily have been a 10 pt win.
  25. It will be brutal for today's game with all the turnover on downs. EPA doesn't care about drops. I imagine it will be bad for Williams. I like it better for an overall team, and a split between the Pass and Rush Off and Def.
  26. This is the first game this season that the Bears had fewer penalties than their opponent and they were still screwed by the officials lol. Zero sacks allowed, Burns came into the game with the league lead in sacks, and had 0. 4 sacks for the defense. 2 sacks for CJGJ, 2 TFL, 2 QB hits and 9 tackles. This dude joined the team 10 days ago. Sweat with 1.5 sacks, 1 TFL, and 2 QB hits.
