If we can get Jeffery Simmons, I'll drive DJ to the airport. Any trade the stumbling block is going to be first round picks. 1 and and DJ, go for it. They want more, no.
-
Both need to be better to have a better passing game. We won 12 games, I think we are better than last year. Improve every year.
-
I think anything is possible for this defense. I bet it will be a little crazy for a minute.
- Today
-
And they have a DT we need...
-
You didnt get that email from Ryan Poles? Everything is speculation, scenarios, and clicks. Buffalo would be interested if they were not 11 million over the cap going into 2026. Tennessee has 100 million to spend, that is the team to work with
-
Most trades will be around the draft but I think you have do player trades in real times. Anyone know? Adam, You can designate 2 post cuts ahead of time. Everything is just pundits rumors now, Buffalo has a new coach, no one has the off-season mapped out yet. Eric Lambert is notorious for starting rumors and saying he has inside information.

Gimme a chip and a chair! That's why we don't quit on plays...🤪🤔😎
-
Watching the great Seattle defense, they should have 34 points scored on them right now. We could have beaten them.
-
Drake Maye's 3 game playoff stretch: 15 sacks, 6 fumbles, 2 INT's, 55.8% completion %. He was horrible. Injury luck is the biggest reason they're in the Superbowl. Texans didn't have Nico Collins, and lost Dalton Schultz and their starting RB early in the previous game, and then, of course, Bo Nix misses the AFC Championship game. Pretty sure the Broncos score more than 7 points with him in the lineup... Must be nice. I hope they get their ass kicked in the Superbowl.
-
I seen some bad passes dropped and others that should be caught. They are in the big boy league, one making 25 million to catch, they need to be better both QB and WRs. BJ made sure to call that out so I expect it not to be an issue next season.
-
You mentioned earlier that they need to train more to catch Caleb's bullets. True, but Caleb also needs to relax and lead them better with softer passes. The combination of his quick release and throwing piss missiles gives the receiver less time to react and make the grab. I truly believe Caleb will slow down a lot this coming year and every year after.
-
I was happy to see TTNL post Rams/season clip and they call out Randall El also. The WRs had a bad year with catching the ball and giving effort. They were all put on notice, not from the last play either.
-
I think that weather had a huge effect on passing, but both teams are not on the same level as Sea or LA, or the beloved

Buffalo wants him. Would there 4th be good? We'd have back to back 4th round picks. Not sure they can designate it post June for more cap savings, if not how bout give DJ and a 5th for their 3rd. https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nfl/buffalo-bills/news/bills-predicted-pull-trade-bears-would-help-josh-allen/9eb01aa29c5b5a3ffbe9a502

Depends on the position target, you get a DL, OL, or another premium position, 5 years can make a difference. If they want a S, maybe trade down for more picks.
-
Depends on the year. This year 25.

Just curious, you would you rather have Pick #25 with a 5th year option, or a 2nd (#40) and a 3rd (#72) for 4 years? I feel like in order to get true impact players, most of the time they are first rounders, and it feels like the Bears need more of those type of players to upgrade existing positions where there are average players. On the flip side, how big of a difference is it from #25 to #40?
-
Yeah that was a good thing, but I feel like he will end up there eventually as a former player. Once we get thru Year 2 with the same core, I will feel pretty confident regardless of which coaches and players leave. Right now the team is still ascending, so continuity is very important. It will be interesting to see if his presence has an impact on the free agent signings like Wright and CJGJ?
-
Teams have exclusive rights until the start of the new league year. So basically the Bears would have exclusive rights to their FAs thru March 10th, then the legal tampering period opens, so it becomes fair game.
-
No problemo, I will try to do some deep dives going into next season.
-
With our current defense, we blow both of these AFC teams out by at least 20 pts. This is some of the worst football I have seen in a long time, and it is a Conference Championship. Obviously, DEN didn't have Nix, but Payton not taking points early was the difference. The Pats are going to win with Maye having 86 yards passing. They have now had one of the top 10 easiest schedules in NFL history, then got LAC, HOU, and DEN w/ a backup QB. Wild really.
-
Absolutely. With the addition of a real defense, we will be back there many times. i expect great things in our future.
-
Watching the NE vs DEN game, holy hell those teams look like crap. Maye has 55 yards passing thru 3 quarters and 3 sacks. Whoever wins the NFC will crush either of these teams. So many what ifs for the Bears. They had a legit shot if they beat LA.

its because you have a pattern of preferring the players already on the roster, even when its clear that they are terrible. This whole saga started with Charles Leno. I said he was terrible, and you said I was a hater with a psychological predelection to be negative. Even though Ive been on this board at least 20 years before that and no one thought that about me, or had any real problem with me. Then came Justin Fields, Matt Eberflus, Braxton Jones. All are terrible, and I think youre still even saying we should sign Braxton again rather than any number of other mid tier free agent LTs. Why? Anyway, I was the negative pessimist according to many many posts of yours. A lot of them were much more aggressive and nasty than you have been since our big blowup. Then suddenly I am saying Caleb is gonna be awesome, even when he was just learning and not complete or great yet. So then I dunno, was I a homer or an optimist? The point is, I watch the film, and base my opinions on that. You think i want to fight, but I promise I never change my opinion just so it will be the opposite of yours (or anyones!) it's just what I really think. And usually I am right too. Because its based on the film, and the salary cap, and nothing else. Im not so smart. I just watch the tape. And Im not the only one who thought Justin was bad or Caleb is good. So Im hardly claiming genius status here. To me all that was obvious stuff that anyone should see. Not special insight or whatever. So yes, you have every right to your opinion no one has ever said otherwise, but since you have characterized my opinions as being the result of emotions so many times, it must be fair for me to point out that youre a homer who wants to keep every player rather than improve the roster. You have actually said in the last month or so that Sweat, Dayo and Booker will be better next year and we should go with them! Dude! I get the loyalty, but dude! Also, for DJ it's not just one play. Its at least one play every game. Ive been looking at it and talking about it all season long. And Im not the only one who has been. Its real. I hope they move on from DJ Moore. He doesnt suck, but hes not a legit WR1, and we dont need him anymore, and hes doing more harm than good to our future plans. I hope that answers your question. I didnt use any language to try to be mean or hurt anyones feelings (how the hell do I have to even say that on a sports talk board?!) I was direct and told the truth of what I think. If your point of view on keeping players is homer-ish i dont think it is insulting to say so - its more like explaining than name calling. Anyway we are all grown men so i think a lot of this offense is theater. I got banned for a week for saying an IDEA was "stupid" - freaking kindergarden if you ask me. But whatever...
