Bears | Negotiating for Rolle Comment (0) Thu, 04 Mar 2010 17:36:27 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, reports the Chicago Bears are working on a deal with free-agent S Antrel Rolle (Cardinals), according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The team is actively involved in negotiations and could have a deal in place soon.

Its nice that we are winning, here are my thoughts. 1. Defense has shown up big time tonight. Good coaching and good blitz calls so far. Take away Peterson and make that moron quarterback try to beat us. Good to see Vasher. When our d-coordinator sets them up with good pressure our big cornerbacks are awesome. They come downhill and make big hits and are great at bad balls. Problem comes when the cood leaves them on an island cause they are not the small, fast types. This is BearSox's Draft Discussion, and I will go over our options for each round. I guess this can be considered some what of a mock draft as well, but I'd like to have a discussion about our options and such. I'm only going to the first day for now. ROUND 1: We have a couple choices here and it looks like we can be picking in the 10-12 range as this team is brutal. One option is safety and perhaps Kenny Phillips is available here. But with no franchise LT or QB, we can't use a draft pick on a "luxury". So, lets take a look at our other options. Trading down is an option, but that is easier said then done. How about LT? So the Seachikens finish the regular season with a loss to Atlanta. Now that is building momentum for the playoffs! Then again, they are IN the playoffs. But I don't think they are going anywhere but home after their first game.

Jonathan Vilma is in Detroit Wednesday to take a physical. Vilma, the No. 12 overall pick in 2004, is recovering from reconstructive knee surgery, which he underwent in November. He has experience in a Tampa 2 defense like Detroit's, having played for Herm Edwards 2004-2005. If he's cleared physically, a trade could be announced on Friday.
