Chicago Bears @ChicagoBears 4m LM: #Bears have retained veteran OL Eben Britton, who has agreed to a 1-year contract. Saw this one coming, surprised it took so long.

The Bears brought in Darius Reynaud/RB formally of somebody. I think he was with the Titans for awhile. A potential KR/backup RB

Because I have to stop. 1) Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville - Donald and HaHa are gone, making this an easy pick. **Trade down in 2nd for extra 4th and 7th** 2) Kelcey Quarles, DT, South Carolina - I'm not convinced there's much difference in the 2nd/3rd round DTs and I'm not sure the Bears do either, which is why a trade down makes sense. Guys have a history of either underachieving (McCullers), injury (Easley), weight (Sutton) or something. The Bears take a healthy guy who big question mark is "How much better did Clowney make him look?" The Bears spent time with him at the combine and they love their SEC players. 3) Marqueston Huff, CB, Wyoming - This seems lik…

He says that when he watched Nix on film he seemed to be on the ground too much. That is a big no no to DL coaches because they feel you can't make a play on the ground.

With the draft complete, let's now look at the schedule and see how this is going to play out. To me the first half of the season is going to be what makes or breaks this team. There are some really tough games, but if we can get thru at 4-4 or 5-3 at the bye, it looks like we can make a sustained post season run in the second half. Week 1 - BILLS (WIN 1-0) - Bills used a lot to get Watkins, but they still have QB issues Week 2 - AT 49ERS (SUN NIGHT) (LOSS 1-1) - This is going to be a tough one in their new park, we can actually win this but right now they have the edge Week 3 - AT JETS (MON) (WIN 2-1) - Another tough game, but I think all around we are a bette…

I know it's short notice, but Bennett will be on the Pete Holmes Show in 30 min (11pm) on TBS. Replay airs at 12:30. Not sure if anyone else watches the show but I personally find him hilarious. Holmes + Bennett should be gold. For those that miss the show I'll try to find a link tomorrow.

I've been watching this series. Most are nice to see how they transition the rookies to the team but there's not a lot of substance. However, part 4 has some good video of Pascaloni in the class room. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...2d-7fee93bbc874

I liked Wilson as a Cardinal. Bowen just mentioned on the score his recent injury history with the patriots. Good low risk high reward singing.

Last year we were historically bad on defense for numerous reasons. Obviously injuries, scheme, new coaches, loss of Urlacher, all took their toll. However, just looking at a few guys who we let go this off season tells you how bad we actualy were. 1. James Anderson, started 16 games and was our leading tackler? He also had 4 sacks. However, he looked as lost as Bostic and Greene half the time and didn't have their speed to recover. He seemed out of position a lot. He is now a Nickel LB in NE. To me, he was a big reason why we couldn't stop the run. 2. Major Wright, started 15 games. He has been hot and cold his entire career, but last year he was ho…

I view Kromer as a straightforward guy who won't spin things. It was nice to hear him discuss the talent level of the offense and the improvement from last year to this year. He's not discussing the starters rather the depth on the roster specifically the Oline depth and TE options we have on the roster. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...27-f4c0766bf86e

It seems each day we find more positive articles on the Bears' Dline. This one is about our so-called NASCAR package. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ml#.U-OKRlY8icM I'm optimistic we'll be able to generate some pass rush this season. What's nice to hear are the compliments of Houston's abilities. Behind him we are hearing good things about how well Sutton is picking things up. Ratliff has made his presence known as well in drills and we know what Jared Allen brings to the table on each play. This article focused on the 3 DE's with Ratliff as the pass rush package but if Sutton continues to progress I'm not sure we also couldn't go with S…

What I saw on defense is my biggest concern and that was confusion. The secondary even the LB's looked confused. Is this constant flip flopping with the safeties and LB's really doing any good ? By the third preseason game, shouldn't you know who your starters are ? " jack of all trades and master of none " is what I'm seeing here. Other teams will see this and use the no huddle and to compound this problem. I know they didn't scheme because they wanted to see "mano e mano " to evaluate each player. Well ... they got it and it didn't look so good. Starting with the 1st stringers: defensive DT's had couple of good plays but mostly were either man h…

For those looking to get all the Bears games but don't care if you can't watch them live. I just got NFL Game Rewind (works on computers/tablets/phones) and it is awesome. I am actually impressed and it is much better than the NFL Sunday Ticket stream I had last year. Some pretty neat features (Condensed games, Coaches film, archived games, slow mo, etc). Archived games go all the way back to 2009 and you can watch SB games as well. I just watched the GB game from last year. That Boykin TD is still BS in my opinion, that should've been blown dead. For those interested: www.nfl.com/gamerewind Promo code: REP15 I did the $39.99 plan, and go…
