I'm ignorant about setting up a message board website so maybe this idea isn't practical, but I've always thought a messageboard should have a system where you can click a button that simply adds a "thumbs up" tracked stat to the post. For those who don't know the whole story, talkbears is a part of a larger network of sites. The vast majority of the posters that were here previously came over from the mother-site, Soxtalk.com. We have also created sites in the past for all of the major sports teams in Chicago, to varying degrees of success. If you all are interested, we would love to see people check them out and join. If I have your interest, take a look at the top of the page next to the TalkBears tab where you see the TalkChicagoSports tab. If you hover over it, there are links to the other Chicago sites. Enjoy.

To add YouTube videos, just use the "Insert Special Item" drop down or Quick Access dialogue box. In both, you will see an option to Insert:YouTube. Once you do that, all you put in the field is the 11-character video ID. So for the following video, all I put in the text box was: YtxnssPO_ec which gives you this: The only concern is if we start spamming threads with a bunch of videos, so please keep the video embedding limited to on…
