It sounds like talks have broken down as Forte seems to have wanted a deal closer to the $45 million/$21 guaranteed that D'Angelo Williams got (as a full free agent) earlier this summer.

Weird thing is...usually when the Bears have a rookie who has even a minor injury in training camp, they'll put him on IR and basically red-shirt him for a year rahter than having him use up the roster spot as a rookiel.

If you attach replacing him with Okoye so that the Bears can actually get a much better interior pass rush...yeah that could be true.
