  1. At least they're not doing the same thing expecting a different result.
  2. Barely... He certainly didn't earn it not containing Rodgers on the last play of our season...
  3. I think you are correct and incorrect in the same swing of the bat. It's a lot. But, just imagine what the next QB deal was going to be for a starter. Every year, we get shocked by the amounts. I simpy think given the new landscape of QB deals, Jay got paid as a top 6 QB. Probably a little more than he should have becasue I see him as top 10. But, given there was no other alternative, I think it seems OK. I think we can all easily sit here and question the move. Time will tell. But, I wonder...at least at this point...is his money better than Flacco's? Since signing big, Flacco too has yet to win anything. I think if given the choice, I'd rather have Jay than Flacco. At some point, everyone pays for their QB. We can flap about Kaepernick and Wilson...but they have yet to win anything as low Money QB's... Eli, Rodgers, etc...all big buck QB's. I think Flacco did win while under a low contract, but not as low as Kaepnernick or Wilson I believe. Just sayin' the exceptions make the rules. At the end of this, Jay will probably go down as the Bears best QB in terms of stats. Let's hope numerous trophies go hand in hand...
  4. Didn't see the presser, what did they say about the D and SMC?
  5. But I could see him coming bak as a player for him. That has more potential I think.
  6. For Smith? Can't see it. He doesn't appear to have the demeanor for coaching. So-so players tend to make better coaches than great players. Most coaches go right into it because they can't get it out of their system, and they weren't stars. I don't recall many taking cushy stints on TV to go back. Unless the way they got the tv jo was becasue they were a former coach.
  7. They already have...under Chucky. (just counting since 85) And they won't beat us there. Too much talent in the NFC... Let's give Trestman more than a season to see how he stacks up to Smith. He may be the same, worse...or better. I eagerly await.
  8. Hopefully a lot. Too many are too old... The only one I'd miss is Peanut. Which would sadly be the likely candidate.
  9. Jimminy Christmas! That's a lot to wake up to the day after New Years. I like the quickness. There is not f-in' around now. We are all in on Cutler. Slauson brings stability and Jennings is our best CB at the moment due to Peanut's injuries. I like all 3. I don't know what the $ is, so I'm nost sure how it'll impact resigning others. But, I think between these 3 and Gould's signing, this boes well and puts us at ease. At least we aren't in limbo up to FA and the draft. We know the pieces of the puzzle and we are locked in. Time to try to get Josh to stick around for a little while to back Cutty up...
  10. I basically agree. We must remember that the right is there not just to protect that which we agree or find logical, but to protect that which what we disagree with and/or find dumb. However, sometime what is said has reprecussions. I think tolerance and freedom of speech are 2 very different things though. As is discrimination and freedom of speech. One has the right to say virtually anything...and those words need not be tolerant. Those words could lead to both illegal and legal loss of employment. It depends on the contract signed, what is said and particular state and federal laws. For instance, if some dude were to stand up on national tv and proclaim following Charles Manson as his religion and to recommend all people sleep with whales, kill orphans, and like the Packers...I'd think that could very well be a fireable offense. Or at least it should be! The dude has the right to say it, but I woudn't want him on my sales team! He has the right to say it, but I have the right to disassociate myself from that person. At least one would think... I'm for 100% human rights. Don't care if it's sexual, racial, religious, political, etc... We all have the same rights under the constitution. It's there, it's just sometimes our politicians and lawmakers don't follow it.
  11. You are 100%. Freedom of speech is a topic so many folks misinterpret. Those Duck guys crack me up. I get a chuckle out of them like the Three Stooges. I'm not asking Moe about his thoughts on world politics. GQ asking a redneck hunter what his thoughts on homosexuality are is fishing with dynamite. Did anyone honestly think he'd resond any differently?
  12. Could care less. I hate the guy only because of the uniform. And the dumb wrestling belt move...
  13. 2010. That was for a berth to the SB. This would have just got us a ticket to getting trounced by SF.
  14. Agreed. Seriously, someone needs to answer for having the worst D in Bears' history. If there were just one small positive with what Tucker's brought, I'd give him another chance. I see nothing... Next.

    Sucks

We crapped the bed again during a big game. Rodgers owns us. Until I actually see it, I will assume they will continue to own us and I will pencil every GB game from here on out as a loss. We are not in their league. D was worst ever. Tucker needs to be fired, and Conte needs to be cut ASAP. My Sundays have now been returned to me. I could honestly care less about watching the NFL right now period. SF will kill GB. At least there are no more false hopes for this awful season. Same old Bears. Losing to GB to make them national darlings. Great job guys. Just stellar.
  17. Ha! Some things just get me pi$$ed off, and the Packers are public enemy No.1! (again, in the realm of things in life that aren't truly life & death...) We have a chance. Wer shouldn't win. But sometimes things don't work out as expected... here's hoping!
  18. Read on PFT this morning that he is out on Monday... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...frazier-is-out/
  19. F THE PACKERS!!!! F THE PACKERS!!! F THE PACKERS!!!! I f*&king hate them more than anything on this earth other than true evil. Hate. Them. I'm not talking terrorists, rapists, murderers, One Direction, etc... I'm talking about general life things that make you ill. They make me ill. They've made me ill for what seems like a decade now. Enough. F them. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Damn, now that's some thinking!
