Emery and Trestman are proving to be like many others before them...believing their own BS or flat out lying to us. I am disappointed. I was hoping for more transperancy and accountability. Shame on me for thinking so. Our guys are like all the 31 other teams' ones... Treat the fans like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and feed them bull$hi#.

Either scenario is good and bad. So, I'm actually hoping for a tie and a boat ton of injuries! I have a moderate lean for the Packers becasue it puts us in control of our own destiny. But KO-ing those bastards would be great. Here's a piece of odd logic my Bears buddy mentioned... He'd rather see GB in the playoffs than the Lions. GB is already known to be great. I think Marshall could be an x-factor. He loves him some Cutty. If we let Cutty walk, we may be inadvertantly letting Marshall walk too. Just worth considering... My biggest fear with McCown over Cutty is that the inevitable will happen. McCown will regress, we will lose a WR, and we are back at square 1 with another Bears team with a bad QB. Whereas if we keep Cutty, we lock him for 4 more years and it's do or die in those 4 years. And in year 2 of that, you can draft a high calibur QB to replace him. Not sure what I really want... I just have fears with going all in on either guy!

I love all the ideas I've read on this thread so far! From a "fantasy" scenario...here's what could prove very interesting with the crux being a good over-hauil that may require a season to get it running smoothly... This is all just a fix to the defense. D LINE Cut Peppers, or hope he retires. Move Wootten back to the outside Re-sign Melton to a more cap friendly salary. Keep Ratliff and the rest of the DT's to rotate assuming they perfrom fairly. Keep Bass, and some fo the otherr depth guys at low prices. Draft a stud End. BACKERS Trade Briggs. Get hopefully a 2nd. Move Bostic to Weak or Strong depending. Same with Greene. Draft a starter calibur MLB SECONDARY Move Peanut to S. Not sure if FS or SS. Keep one of the jabroni safties, Conte or Wright as lining up with Peanut. I don't believe their contracts are much. Re-sign Jennings. Leave Bowman for now. Keep Frey and some of the other back-ups. Test Steltz at S. Draft S and CB and hope one can pan out as a starter fast. Next season, draft secondary high and DT high. Just some Madden-esque thoughts...

While I copmletely agree that there is no conspiracy...I do feel we are one of the least respected teams from an officiating standpoint. The media starts it by constantly poo-pooing us. People begin to believe the hype. Brady gets calls. Jay, not as much.
