Ha! It's been a long day for me! I too do not think we go after a DL...at least a top tier one. Depth wouldn't surprise me, but I think we stand pat with our basic starters. If marinelli is worth it, we should see results from our corps. I could see something in the draft as you mention, JA likes to draft the DL... I also agree that if the Dl improves, the other areas should be default. I don't see any FA's for CB or LB, but I do see us drafting a LB. Insurance / baton taker for Urlacher and replace Hilly/Roach maybe... I think if the talent is there in our draft slot, whatever round, I can see JA taking one. I also see S as a draft and FA possibility. We are sorely lacking... I also think you're right that JA will get some vet QB...and I hope one that truly is a back-up to Kyle unless someone comes from out of nowhere. I also see RB...although still wonder WTF we are doing with Wolfe... So overall, we;'re in agreement! Except, I see LB in the mix more... Probably just my desire to get Laurinaitis!

Three, to be precise. The Super Bowl MVP, the Pro Bowl MVP, and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. As to the latter prize, the field is down to three players. Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, Vikings center Matt Birk, and Eagles safety Brian Dawkins. Another thing they have in common is that all three players currently are on track to become free agents in less than two months. The award recognizes its recipient for on-field performance and off-field community service, and it is named for the Hall of Fame running back who died ten years ago at age 45. The winner will be named on Friday, January 30. Last year’s winner was defensive end Jason Taylor, then of the Dolphins.

It is impressive. They are easily the most popular team here in LA with the exception of the Lakers, only when the Lakers are doing well. But it does make sense... 1. USC traditionally has been a strong program 2. Carrol came from the NFl, and some thinking is if you want to make it in the NFL, he knows more than the next guy 3. Recently, they have been VERy strong, and what freshman wouldn't want to be a part of that, regardless of who leaves 4. The city... Young men tend to want to come where the weather is warm, the chicks are hot, and where therer's some action. LA has all that. So does Miami, etc... But it's not humid in LA! Throw in the music and film business and it's liek the planets allign...

On some level, I cannot disagree. At some point, the HC needs to step in. I don't care if his expertise was on the D, he, by default should know at least something about the O. (How else do you sheme a D?) It just adds more fuel to the fire that this management is always a day late and a dollar short... Only when its over, do we make a change. Once it's set in camp, damn the torpedoes! That what we're going with!
