I think Evan Rodriguez or Brian Harden hold that title...or share it

Just to lighten things up a little, David Bass has been a pleasant surprise on the Dline.

We can also hope the 49ers continue to not be able to score points and lose as they are currently one of the wildcard teams. And I LOVE rooting against the 49ers.

pretty much sums it up.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Chicago Bears return specialist Devin Hester spent a portion of Wednesday’s practice going through individual drills with members of the secondary, and even received one-on-one instruction from defensive backs coach Jon Hoke at the conclusion of the workout. But does this mean Hester, a former collegiate and NFL cornerback, is a candidate to line up on the defensive side of the ball Sunday in St. Louis? “He’ll jump into (the drills) from time to time and get a little work in,” Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker said. “But there is really no news there. I’m not in the conversation business.” Hester started games at cornerback and nickel back in college at the University of Miami and was a reserve cornerback for the Bears in 2006. Hester saw limited time on defense but did record 11 tackles and one pass break-up. “We try to keep Devin as busy as we can throughout the course of practice,” Bears head coach Marc Trestman said. “But you never know. You never know. We certainly want to keep him doing what he’s been doing. But he does have value, certainly, doing other things. And who knows. Nothing’s out of the question. It’s not something we’ve spent a lot of time talking about.” With Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Tillman on injured reserve and starting nickel back Isaiah Frey dealing with a fractured hand, perhaps Hester is an emergency option in the event the team suffers another injury at cornerback, or if Frey’s hand becomes an issue during the game. Tim Jennings is the logical candidate to bump inside and play the complicated nickel back position if Frey is unable to go. But given Hester’s experience, there is a remote possibly that he could be asked to step in at cornerback and play zone coverage. However, the Bears do currently have two reserve cornerbacks on the active 53-man roster: Sherrick McManis and Derrick Martin. Wow we are getting thin at secondary if we are considering using him.

I did see that and agree it was a horrible call. I could also bring up the Raider, Patriot post season "tuck rule" game. I am sure there are many more examples as well. Whether I watched it or not, unfortunately doesn't change what happend. I will say this it does tend to make a person think, don't it?
-
So the second the ball is in the air defensive players can grab receivers and stop their route eh? lol So based on your thought process, timing patterned curls or slants could be stopped by grabbing the receiver the second the ball goes into the air, or on any deep pass just grab the receiver so it stops his movement and therefore the ball would sail well past were they are and make it thus uncatchable, the second it leaves the quarterbacks hand.

Read the article I linked, that is why it should have been called. Regardless of outcome I don't want the integrity of the game ruined by B.S. calls. I may have wanted Carolina to lose but not by New England being cheated, though after the "tuck rule" crap during that playoff game, they kind of deserve it. I do not EVER want a referee to dictate the outcome of a game.

Exactly!!! And funny how former NFL FOOTBALL PLAYERS said it was a horrible call. The reason it was uncatchable is Gronk was held as he was trying to come back to catch the ball. But they don't know what they are talking about either. Because everyone knows JASON KNOWS ALL and he said so. BUAHAHAHA.

But the referees are right 99% of the time and we don't know anything when it comes to Pass interference Refs don't dictate games at all....

Getting a center in the draft would be huge at locking the Oline in place and then with the other 6 picks you can go D if so wanted. If they extend Cutler, the O is set enough that we could focus on D in the draft and free agency outside that one pick. Or if they can get a good Center via free agency, then they can completely focus on the the D.

Brown didn't look bad in the preseason. I wouldn't mind that either. Garza is getting old and he is a little undersized for center. They definately need some more beef in the middle to open up some running holes. Garza seems to get blown up on definate running situations and alot of time is going backwards.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/22273728-60...ishes-goal.html Is Boggs any good and could he take over for the old and undersized Garza?

What is going to be available? They need a center badly

Yesterday and the week before were both mistakes, going for it on 4th down. The week before if they wouldn't have gotten it, their opponet would have already been in field goal range to start their drive and this week they left the 3 points that would have won the game on the field.

Trestman needs to figure out he is in the NFL not playing Madden. Points are points

thanks! and TOUCHDOWN!

anyone know where to watch the game online free?

CA: "Look at what he did this year! He stepped it up compared to previous years." BM: "So did McCown. Why didn't he do it previous years? How do we know that this isn't a fluke year or what Cutler did isn't in large part due to the system and the coaching?" CA: "Do I really have to mention offensive line and lack of quality receivers past Marshall? I mean we had no tight end and Jeffrey was hurt." "Mike Tice as the OC? Really?" Would probably be the response, not a dumb look.

Reading that article, his delivery is different now. Hopefully he isn't coming back to soon and Suh takes a cheap twist of his legs or some other cheap move and really hurt him for the rest of the season.
