http://profootball.scout.com/2/816325.html Here's a link to the available free agent tackles. If we can get a good RT in FA we can focus on a good OG in the draft within the first 3 rounds, hopefully resign St Clair to play the other Guard and have the makings for a good OLINE.

Per KFFL they haven't even offered him a contract Bears | Team has not offered contract to Marinelli Wed, 07 Jan 2009 15:25:08 -0800 Contrary to a previous report, Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have not offered a contract to former Detroit Lions head coach Rod Marinelli to become their new defensive line coach.

Because this organization is arrogant to a fault, believes we as fans are stupid and thinks it can sell us Pyrite as Gold.

Bears | Smith to meet with Marinelli Fri, 02 Jan 2009 13:05:46 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith is scheduled to meet with former Detroit Lions head coach Rod Marinelli Friday, Jan. 2, about the possibility of Marinelli joining the Bears coaching staff. Marinelli is expected to take the Bears coaching job, but his agent says there are other opportunities. "Rod has a number of opportunities and he is seeing Lovie and they're sitting down and talking. It's a visit," agent Frank Bauer said.

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....o-would-lo.html Angelo says noone is safe whether they just signed longterm or not. Also likes Marinelli alot....

No more Lovie guys, get a real DC that actually has a clue and EXPERIENCE as a coordinator.

I saw an interview with the HC and he stated they try to improve and win every week and this week is no different. So I would gather if a player isn't injured they would be playing in this game
-
no mnf this upcoming week then huh?

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,7500115.column Lovie gave the team a wakeup call at halftime. Nice to see him taking control of the team.
-
I would agree that I have seen an improvement in his defensive play especially after he started getting confidence due to his success in the kick return game.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,7034381.story Bout time our top pick of the 06 draft starting being worth something...
-
"Rarely catches the ball cleanly and drops too many passes." Looks like he will fit right in with our current receivers.
-
so the question is whether the braintrust running this organization is going to activate, and actually use either Riddeu or Bennett this week or if they are going to use this new addition, a former 6th round player from another teams practice squad instead. If that is the case the question begins to need to be asked as to how a 3rd round pick from this draft can be so bad they can't get any playing time with the injuries and lack of production we have currently had with the WR position. If he is in fact are this bad, why the hell was Bennett drafted in the first place let alone that high.
-
Seems like we have been using the statement in bold with the last 3 coaching staffs put together by this inept organization. I wish they had the ability to find a quality coaching staff and pay them accordingly. Let the coaching staff reset button be pushed, once again....

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=232149 If he came out early I would like to see them seriously consider him. This kid is going to be good.
-
cut him, he is overpaid and sucks

Based on the rumblings over the last few weeks and based on the lack of effort and execution this week, I dont think the players believe in this scheme anymore and the staff has lost it's players and it shows. This staff should be fired as they are incompitent and have no clue how to adjust during a game (let alone between weeks) and it has shown since the Superbowl.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4010616.column Lloyd was available last week but Lovie decided to not activate him
-
Orton had 2 TD catches dropped and a third fumbled and then recovered. So in essense he had 5 TD passes. That doesn't sound so average to me...
-
They are going to rely on Pumpkin Power to stop the Vikings.
-
The fact of the matter is that if he would have returned it to field goal range based on time vs distance to get to a specific point to make it possible, there wouldnt have been any time left on the clock to even attempt a FG.
-
If he took it 80 yards there wouldnt have been any time left. First he isnt going to be running in a straight line and second he is wearing football gear so the amount of time he would have taken to run it that distance would have run out the clock.
-
Not to mention the amount of money spent on the defensive side of the ball....
-
You bet. The more I read about this guy and watch him play the more I like this pick
