John Fox leaving the Broncos
In 2008 Kubiak called the plays for the Texans, he handed over play calling duties in 2009. He's had teams that ranked in the bottom 3rd in the league in points 4 out of 6 years he's called plays.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
Those offenses aren't really impressive to me. On another not, John Fox is one tough SOB. I was watching some of his interviews, and there was one with him and Pete Carroll before the Super Bowl. He was talking about his open heart surgery and compared it to a sprained ankle, with a 4 week return to normalcy.

Dan Quinn - Most Impressive Candidate
I thought I heard them mention it on the score, I may have misheard. Edit: I definitely missheard what they said.

Dan Quinn - Most Impressive Candidate
He's interviewing today.

Bowles
It wasn't an experience thing. It was that Bowles' first DC gig in 2012, his defense allowed almost 28 points per game. I mean seriously, they let up the same amount of points as Mel Tucker's Jaguars. I wouldn't have been complaining if he was hired, but I wouldn't have had high expectations. I just have a gut feeling Austin will be an excellent coach. He has an excellent pedigree as a position coach working some really great coaches. He's seen how they run their teams, and in the last 10 years he's been on 3 Super Bowl teams(05-06 Seahawks, 08-09 Cardinals, and 2012-2013 Ravens). I watched some of his interviews, and Austin seems to have a really good personality and genuine guy. Couple all of that with the Lions turn around, and I think he will be an excellent head coach if given a shot.

Bowles
I was leary of him as a candidate. He was Mel Tucker bad his one year as DC in Philly in 2012. Actually, he and Mel were tied for 3rd worse with 444 points allowed.

Bowles
Wow, that surprises me. It seemed like no one wanted that job.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
I want to argue the "Who will replace him?" idea, but I don't want to hijack the Fox thread with him. We can touch on it in another thread some time, as I think it's a cyclical argument.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
Depends on the QB. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it's even true. There have been a lot of wrong information leaked about the Bears this offseason.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
Oh Jesus, a Shanahan? I hope it's just rumor and speculation, but it's being reported from Denver sources too. I seriously can't take another Cutler reboot.

Bears interviewed Marrone today
I never heard it mentioned. Thanks for the update.

Kevin Turks Out as Director of Pro Personnel
That's a job he did for a while in NO, so I wouldn't expect an immediate replacement. He probably figures he has that covered for now. Most front office and scouting contracts are up in May or June. Emery had a similar situation, where he had to wait to make the changes due to this. I expect a lot more changes this summer.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
I am wondering if John Fox is what BLEW the McCaskey's away in the Pace interview. Pace may have had some inside information on Fox not being happy in Denver.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
I'm still going to say that Austin is my favorite potential candidate. Fox may just be what this team needs, so he is my 1b right now.

Locker room issues ???
That's what Bennett was replying to from a couple days ago. Kind of immature of Long, but probably joking. Bennett's rants was kinda douchey. Teammate's shouldn't be doing that in public.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
The team is in and has been in a rebuilding phase. I know they were trying to compete the last couple years, but the roster turn around since Angelo has been huge. It's going to need to continue the next few years as they build the defense, replace aging players on the offense, and so on. That's why I think Fox is a great fit as coach. His experience should bring stability to the locker room. Plus, I think he will be able to fill out a great staff to help develop the players that are brought in. At the least, he's coach that can get this team prep this team into a contender. Then the Bears can go find the coach to take them to the next level.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
It may help the Bears get Brandon Marshall like you wanted.

Urban Meyer
Maybe we should call Harbaugh, he may just be regretting that Michigan job now, lol.
-
John Fox leaving the Broncos
Supposedly he is telling people he walked away from the job, he wasn't fired.
-
John Fox leaving the Broncos
He won a playoff game as Tebow as QB, that says enough for me.

John Fox leaving the Broncos
Damn, I didn't even realize they were OC and DC together, or that Accorsi had a connection to Sean Payton. This could really come together, if we got him and Del Rio as DC, which was who i was wanting as HC, would be amazing.
-
John Fox leaving the Broncos
He was DC for the Giants when Ernie was GM there, so there is that connection.
-
John Fox leaving the Broncos
I think that is a coach that would make us all happy.
