  1. Yes, pretty damn good. I wonder how much better it could have been if they were aggressive and actually went for the kill.
  2. Sorry, but the horrible offensive call didn't do anything on the actual play. The field position is consequential; with that I agree. But trying to give Lovie credit for the punt return which was in spite of his shit 4th down call is crazy.
  3. Hell, if that happens AND Lovie actually kicks it when he should have, it would be a 6 point lead.
  4. Who's to say that an aggressive approach wouldn't work? Maybe the Bears' D would have knocked out Rodgers by now if they were actually attacking instead of giving the Packers 4yd completions over and over? I don't want to sit around with fingers crossed and hope to have a chance to win. It's a passive, heartless way to play. I don't really think the Packers are all that superior, and the Bears' D can actually play with them. But we'll never know, because it's the typical bend but don't break garbage.
  5. Bears should be up 20-17. But Lovie didn't learn the last time the Bears got stuffed on 4th and 1.
  6. Nick Collins is, and always has been, a dirty asswipe. A cheap shot artist. The same kind of guy who hurt McMahon.
  7. The contain is just on that play. The slow bleed of the drive is what kills the team.
  8. For the record, I HATE the F'ing Cover-2, and the way Lovie runs it. The packers are doing the exact same thing that the Colts did in the Super Bowl. Short passes over and over and over and over...
  9. That call on Melton was BS. There was no contact to the helmet that I saw.
  10. hahaha...Peppers has the Packers OL shitting their pants.
  11. Correction. 17-10. Gould missed a makeable FG.
  12. That was a bad pass by Cutler. Either way, that's the SECOND DAMN TIME the Bears should have gone for a FG on 4th and 1 this season. KICK THE DAMN FIELD GOAL AND GET SOME POINTS!!!
  13. I thought I was the only one who saw Hester kill Hawk on that one. Hawk got destroyed.
  14. In other news, water is wet. How many years do we have to call for OL help?

    Fun!

Singletary, Wilson, Wilbur > Briggs, Urlacher, Pisa > Urlacher, Holdman, Colvin That is all.
  16. The praise for the OL is a little too heavy, and a little too early. Let's be honest here. They got murdered in the first quarter, played better the rest of the game, but by no means did they play "exceptionally well." Cutler was still under pressure quite a bit, and the fact that he didn't donate an organ has a lot more to do with Martz adjusting the game plan than the OL suddenly getting their shit together. The simple fact is, the OL blocked better because they had at least two things going for them: A] Martz had Cutler throw quicker B] The Cowboys pissed themselves because of A
  17. Agreed. But what is the initial cause? In this case, I'd have to say it was the quick adjustment by Martz and the Bears offense that forced the OTHER TEAM to change their game plan. Hence, less pressure. It surely wasn't the lack of success from the blitz that caused the change.
  18. You're right, of course (i.e. they DID block better). But the thing about it is, I wonder if the OL pass blocked that much better, or if the Cowboys' defense shat their pants when Martz figured out how to beat that "send the house" defensive blitzing strategy. Previously, that was something Bears' OC's couldn't figure out. Now, however, that's not so. I don't even know who their DC is, but as we have painfully learned, not all Coordinators in the NFL can make game time adjustments.
  19. That's kind of my point. Why do anything different? Why not even step it up one small notch, and try to go for the kill? Allowing a team to have a sliver of hope, no matter how small that sliver is, is a bad idea.
  20. Agreed. But when you've shut down an opposing defense to 10 points an entire game, why change and give them open room? Why pull back? Why not just go at it? All the sudden Romo has a ton of passes in the last two drives that he didn't have nearly as frequently in the first half.
  21. Some people are just capable of doing something amazing in their lives. Some run, sing, play the piano, etc. Idiot savant stuff. Tillman has been able to strip a ball since, I suspect, birth. I can picture it now... His big brother comes up, grabs a toy from Tillman. P-Nut calmly tracks his brother down from behind, and rips the ball clean.
