I liked his defensive style in Baltimore, and supposedly he is an offensive coach. Probly could get him for cheaper than some of the other guys out there. He's been to a Super Bowl. Check check. I'm sure there are some down sides that some of you may know better than I--would be interested to hear.

Hester has done nothing to help us win since 2006, at least nothing that's not easily replaceable. His return "skills" are a joke at this point, and he's a mediocre receiver. He's neither a smart player nor is he particularly well sized. Get rid of him ASAP for whatever you can get.

He's an arrogant loser. Makes himself D coordinator and is somehow even worse than Babich. Handpicked some of the worst draft picks over the last 5 years (Okwa, Bazuin were both Lovie favorites). He doesn't ever modify his gameplan. His gadget defense has been completely figured out. I would bet he couldn't even name a single offensive play they run. "I'm familiar with what we do," he's been heard to say. Horrible horrible horrible. I would like to hear someone say something good about him, that would be fascinating.

It would be reminiscent of the scene in Hoosiers when Hackman gets thrown out of the game and turns the reigns over to Shooter... who is scared to death.

We ain't winning any worthwhile games this year anyway. Fire Lovie now, send him a message loud and clear that his double-talking, lazy, easygoing crap is not welcome around here anymore. It would also be kinda funny to watch Babich squirm.

Definitely serious re: Harbaugh. You think straight to HC? I can never tell what determines that.

1. Drop Pep Hamilton from a plane into a live volcano 2. Trade shit for brains Hester for whatever you can get, maybe early 2nd round pick. Use that to bring in a true receiver. 3. Cut all the all purpose guys-->help Garrett Wolfe and Rashied get jobs as dishwashers at Roundy's for cash and a hot meal per shift 4. Fire Ron Turner. Consider Jim Harbaugh as a QB position coach. 5. 1-2 actual O-lineman in free agency. 6. Show Lovie how his headset works

The dual head coach idea is ingenious. I didn't even think of that. Lovie has no idea what is going on in the offense anyway. He said so himself "I've never been the offensive coordinator, but I have a general idea of what we do." Something to that effect. It would have to be someone established though, someone able to develop NFL players. I'm not convinced there isn't a lot of talent that is not being utilized, whether it's WR, line, whatever.

Three years ago it was Rivera. Last year it was Big Bad Bob Babich. This year it's going to be Turner out on his ace, which he almost certainly deserves. Anyone who tries "up the gut" so many times just to prove a point deserves to be out. These games are for real, not a flippin joke. But in all sincerity it should be the whole crew, especially Lovie. I'm sorry, but there ain't no way this crew of jalopies is ever going to get anywhere close back to a Super Bowl. A couple more years of this, and Cutler can kiss any dreams he had of being a real "franchise" QB good bye, whatever "franchise" means.

It seems to me that the players aren't buying in any more. I find it hard to imagine a scenario where this staff (Lovie and Turner especially) would ever bring this team back to a championship team. Lovie himself almost seems not to care, if you listen to his post-game conference. "We weren't prepared" he says with no emotion whatsoever.

Oh he deserves it. I just think it's funny.

Maybe I'm showing my naivete here but: in watching Lovie on the sideline, the past many years the closest I ever saw him to even saying anything into the headset or even addressing anyone on the sideline was to pull the microphone down by his mouth, hesitate for a second, then put it back up. On Sunday vs. Bengals, he wasn't even wearing the earpiece right, it was over his cheek or jaw for a lot of the game. Doesn't exactly give me confidence that he's in any kind of control.
