  1. Are you goin forward from there? I hope not. I was in charge of the INDY in '06. You AF?
  2. Sure am. Been here a year and have 2 to go. why were you here?
  3. We need o-line because if cutler doesn't have time, he can't get the ball to the go-to-guy. Right on Jason.
  4. I wouldn't mind Toub. I like the list as well. I think Rivera is the best fresh face available. Cowher is good but are we going to pay a premium for a proven HC? Cowher is a great choice and I think the best choice, but in all reality, we're cheap.
  5. THE BEAR GAME WILL BE TELEVISED ON AFN FOR THE TROOPS OVERSEAS!!!! Thank you guys very much for voting. YOU GUYS KICK ASS!!!!
  6. Here are my picks: Round 1: Gabe Carini, LT, Wisconsin Carini is a big balanced LT and will relieve us of the Williams experiment. He is 6'8 320lbs. Round 2: Armon Binns, WR, Cinncinnati Bins is a playmaker with good hands and a big WR at 6'4 200. He will bulk up as well. Round 3: Sam Acho, DE, Texas The Bears need more pressure on the QB and Acho brings that. 6'3 260. He had 8 sacks last year and 5 so far in '10. Round 4: Rashad Carmichael, CB, Virginia Tech Bears need help on the corners. Carmichael has hands and speed. Has 10 picks in the last two years. 4.38 40-time. Round 5: Chris Stewart, OG, Notre Dame Big Guard to take over. 6'5 351...Hate to have to cook for him. Round 6: Quentin Davie, OLB, Northwestern All around linebacker. 15 Sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 5 picks. Plus he doesn't have to move his stuff too far from Evanston. Unfortunately we have no 7th round pick because we took Unga in the supplemental draft. However, I say we pick up a 7th rounder pick somewhere so... Round 7: Jake Kirkpatrick, C, TCU I agree with Kruetz' age making this pick a necessity. 6'3 305...and if you've seen any TCU games, he can protect the QB.
  7. Are your picks in order of round?
  8. One final push... Please click and vote for the Bears. Voting closes at 5pm CST. As of now the Bears are up 27% to 20%. Thank you for voting and for your support. http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/FansChoice.aspx -BearsFan1974
  9. Right Now the Bears vs Queens game is at 39%. I appreciate the help. Voting ends Tuesday @ 3pm PST. Let's keep pouring it on and get the overseas Bears fans that game. Thanks again.
  10. Being stationed in Turkey means my chances are limited to see the Bears (no matter how crappy they are). The link I have provided below allow you to vote to see which game will be viewed by the people serving overseas on AFN (Armed Forces Network). The last three weeks, I have had the Saints shoved down my throat and I can't take it. Please vote everyday, send this to you friends, family, co-workers, and class mates. Even if you don't like them...we ALL LOVE THE BEARS...I just want the chance to see them. I miss yelling at the TV. Thank you for voting and for your support back home http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/FansChoice.aspx
  11. I agree with you. Rice was a great receiver. What made him an amazing receiver was Montana and Young throwing him the ball. He is rightfully #1. The name of the game is scoring TD and nobody has done it more.
  12. They shoulda sh!t canned him after the Giant game and just about every game after that.
  13. This argument is one that gets driven into the ground. I feel Payton was far superior than Brown. He was an all-around player. The fan vote put #34 @ # 3 and #32 @ #9. Did I confuse ya?...lol It's the same argument with Sanders and Smith. What if Sanders had Smith's line? What if Sanders had...What if worms had machine guns? Birds wouldn't f**k with 'em...that's what...lol I don't put much stock in the fan vote because of the media. It's a lot easier to see what going on with Manning or Favre then it was to see what was going on with Luckman across the country. Manning was #5 and Favre was #6...Luckman...not in the top 100 of the fan vote.
  14. I agree Danimal was far superior of a leader and player than Dent. The point I was trying to make was if you going to put someone as overrated as Namath in the Top 100, Hampton HAS TO BE ON THIS LIST because he was the man on that '85 D!! Namath DOES NOT nor does Dent. However, Dent deserves the list more than Namath.
  15. NFL.com released a list of the Top 100 players of All-Time. The list is at http://top100.nfl.com/ . The Bears on the list are: 5. Walter Payton 10. Dick Butkus 19. Bronco Nagurski 22. Gale Sayers 33. Sid Luckman 48. Red Grange 58. Mike Singletary 59. Mike Ditka Certain people who have played for the Beloved Bear have been ommitted from the list. The one that strikes me as amazing that he is not on the list is Dan Hampton. He was the heart and soul of the greatest defense ever and he's not in the top 100 of all time? Yet they throw Joe Namath who is the most overrated player in the history of the NFL if not sports at 100. You can argue stats and numbers, then Richard Dent who is not on the list either. By no means should the name I am about to mention be on the list, it's just a comparison to Namath to prove how overrated Namath was...Jay Cutler has comparable number to Namath. Cutler should NOT be on the list...I'm just proving my point that neither should Namath. They named Jerry Rice #1. You can argue the fact that he had 2 HOF QB's tossing him the rock.
  16. I agree he put this crap together. We need to clean house.
  17. I this even if we win it's tough. Unless the o-line plays the way we all hope, we're in trouble. The rest of the schedule is brutal!!!
  18. Unfortunately, I agree. If we get to 8 wins this season I'll be amazed. The road ahead is tough....way f'n tough!!! Buffalo W (5) Minnesota W (6) Miami L Philly L Detroit W (7) NE L Minnesota L Jets L GB L It's not looking to good, hopefully, within 72 hours from the GB game, Lovie, Martz, and Angelo will be looking for new jobs. With a 7-9 record we'll be in the middle of the draft. O-Line needs to be addressed as does receiver.
  19. When in my post did I say we should sign Merriman? I just said he was claimed by Buffalo. We don't need him...that's why I never said we did. If you read the thread from yesterday, you'd see why I said we could use him.
  20. Wonder if they are taking applicants...
  21. Buffalo just claimed Merriman as well. Lith, Angelo should have read our posts yesterday.
  22. I want too thank all of you that voted. Unfortunately, the Saints got the win with 29% and the Beloved Bear had 8%. Next week I will post earlier if you guys don;t mind anf get me the game. I appreciate all of you.
  23. They don't sell that good stuff in Turkey...
  24. Been dyin for a beef sandwich and a pizza puff and a ....damn i'm hungry...lol
  25. Totally agree. He is not the second coming, but what do we have that so great that we couldn't use him? It's been a year since I had some Chicago Cuisine and I can't wait...hopefully I can get some leave over the summer.
