  1. That article is 3 years old. I think that time has passed!!! But dare to dream...
  2. We can give them Todd Collins for a snow shovel and an old Prince cassette.
  3. You guys are kicking major ass. I appreciate it and keep em coming boys.
  4. I'd love to have Fitzgerald but I'm just not keen on selling the farm to get him. We did that getting Cutler with all the picks we sent to Denver. We ALL have bitched about the draft and the things Angelo has done. If we can package Harris/Williams and maybe a 2nd round, I'd be fine with that. We can always trade down in the 1st round to get a replacement 2nd rounder this year and a 1st next year. Since the OL pickings in the draft are fairly slim, we can get the best available lineman, and sign Mankins. This way we'll have two 1st round picks next year and can start reloading instead of rebuilding.
  5. Congrats to Frazier. He deserves this opportunity. Now let's make the Queens fire him too.
  6. Good Afternoon fellow Bear Fans. It's that time again to vote so I can see the game on AFN. Thank God the Bears played on Thursday because of course I get the Saints game again!!! I hate the Saints and I love the Bears. Please vote as often as possible at http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/FansChoice.aspx Send the link to friends, family, co-workers and have them vote. We got the Bears vs. Queens game last week. Please continue to vote. Thank you so much for the support of the troops overseas.
  7. I too am happy with what he has done this year, but I'm still not ready to parade his ass down Michigan Ave. He has a good supporting cast, that's what is making him look good this year. And as much as I hate to say it, if we make the playoffs, he'll be here next year, Angelo will be here next year...but on the bright side, they guarantee to give us new material to bitch about on a weekly basis.
  8. But he does it without whippin his girlfriend's ass. ESPNRadio dumped Mariotti quick because he was a douche then got canned from ATH because of the domestic violence arrest.
  9. The good things said are because until this Sunday, we are the flavor of the week. I wish I had NFL network...AFN gives me mostly ESPN programming. I get PTI, ATH, and Rome.
  10. But the bad thing is, it's not just the national media. The local media (Boers, Bernstein, Mac, Mully) rip the Bears all week and then point out all the bad that we did. It's hard to get excited about a game when your own media is slapping you in the face. It's like trying to build a house and your buddy keeps stealing the damn bricks. Their act is tired and old. Every media outlet has people who gets more obnoxious day after day Rome, Cowherd, Kornheiser, Wilbon. But the one thing that those ass clowns have in common...they all have TV shows as well. Granted Rome was a douche already, but Cowherd wasn't as bad until he got that damn show. So now everybody wants to be a "shock jock" and they don't realize that they are biting the hand that feeds them.
  11. I was watching those morons this morning and I was thinking the same thing. No matter who we beat or how we beat, they will say we are weak. We could dominate the next 5 games and squeek out the last and they would dog us out. ESPN hold the flavor of the week's dick every week. They have been drooling over Vick all week, if he has a bad game, they'll be mentioning Kolb's name. Whatever gets them ratings.
  12. Chicago fan insecurity is the best way I have heard it. We watch our teams through Murphy's Law glasses. Though the shit the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and in my case White Sox have put me through in my life time make you go crazy. I'm not even going to get into the Cubs' fans, mostly because I enjoy their anguish...lol. We don't think positive until we've won the game or hoisting the trophy. We panic until the horn or whistle blows and basically wait to see the bad happen. Then when the bad happens, we get mad even though we sit there and expect it!!! It drives me crazy, but I'll be the first on to support them, the first one to wonder where the hell our coverage is, and the first to yell at the TV. Being a Chicago fan is painful, but no pain, no gain.
  13. I have to fair with luck with a twist of good. With that being said, next week will be a huge test and I just think that Vick has had this season, especially after Monday night, he is due for a bad game. Nobody plays 16 damn near flawless games. He has been great this year, but so has our defense. After next Sunday, we will know where we stand. We still haven't played our perfect game. We still, on both sides of the ball, played great for the same 60 minutes. This team is full of potential and we seem to be starting to click. We need that luck factor as well to make things happen. Because right now, Vick is having that lucky season. Our luck can happen Sunday if Vick's luck run's out.
  14. That's funny as hell...remind me of that phote where the Bear was mounting Reggie Bush.
  15. That is what we brought Manumaleuna in for. He was brought in for his run blocking ability. We are all "arm-chair gm's, coaches, and qb's. That's what makes these discussions fun. Then when the real coaches make a decision that coincides with our "all knowing babble", we seem genius (hope i spelled that right, cause i'd look like a bigger ass if i spelled that word wrong). But as you said, if we could get our asses of the couch and had a drip of talent, we'd be working for Mike McCaskey...lol...then we'd be bitching about our boss.
  16. I do agree with your assessment of Forte, but would you really trust this line to pull? I wouldn't trust this line yet. Webb, Williams, Kruetz, Garza, Ominayale can't get their footwork right as it is. I agree we need to get our running game going still, but with this line, I am skeptical.
  17. His eyes have been like that for years. At least since the SB, because I remember the doing a close up on him and I told my son that he looked stoned.
  18. One thing I haven't seen any of us mention (I may have missed) and has been a thorn in our ass all year is our 3rd down conversions. We were 10-18 yesterday and 11-19 against the Queens. We were absolutely horrific the first half of the season and it seems we have turned it around. Cutler getting time is definitely a big thing and I feel the need to give kudos to the O-line for the last 2 games. Martz has actually been calling a good game. Maybe he wants to stick around next year or realizes this might be his last hurrah as a coach in the NFL and feels he has to prove he is more than a one dimesional coach. He ran the ball 40 times last night!!!
  19. The point I was making was they didn't put Jordan at C to post up with Shaq or Ewing (at the time) because he could jump out of the gym. What you are saying is an adjustment; I am speaking of a position change. I'm sure Smith, and more likely Toub, has told Hester to adjust his return game like not fielding punts while back pedalling inside the 10, cut it forward and not lateral. That is the point I was trying to make.
  20. The remainder of the schedule and how we perform will determine if we are legitimate contenders. We have won all our division games and have 3 division games left...on the road. This is make or break for us. I think we are ready to take the next step!!!
  21. I think that if we kept Hester returning kicks and punts, this thread would have been here a year ago and not the past couple days. Face it guys, Lovie fumbled again.
  22. Lith you and me are cut from the same cloth because I have agreed with every post you have made since joining the board. We had no one better so why did we move him? Lovie was holding the wrong player accountable. The problem with Hester is...there is none. The problem is ours. We have been spoiled by this great return man and expect nothing but amazing things. When he doesn't take a kick or punt back, we feel let down in a way because we know that one block, one cut, or one juke could get us 6. I remember watching Jordan and being disappointed when he would only score 24 pts in a game because I was accustom to seeing him drop 30,40,50 even 60. That is the same aura Hester has brought upon himself. They never told Jordan to do anything different and Lovie shouldn't have had Hester do it either.
  23. Really not to worried about a guy who has played in only 19 games and and this being his 12th start. I'm more worried about the wildcat that will be more relevent to the Fish game plan.
  24. That is funny!!! Farve blows and so do the Queens. Just think, Chilly will be doing that to try and keep his job too.
  25. That should shut up the "but he hasn't recorded any sacks" peanut gallery. I am happy we have the intangibles from Peppers. It has made Izzy that much better and the way Melton played against the Queens, I am satisfied.
