  1. Damn good to see, hopefully there's some truth to the rumor M,J,& H put out there so Briggs can stay a Bear for a LONG time. bears
  2. I used to want Polley, but what they said there is exactly what made me think otherwise. IMO we already have some good depth at LB, behind the obvious starters, I really like Joe, Williams was very good here at ASU and I think he will be very good in the NFL(not just an incredible athlete fellas, hes a hard nosed football player), Ayanbadejo is a ST stud and an adequate back up, and Odom has all the physical tools to be a quality guy in or Corps though he has never gotten any respect from the fans and was injured last year. In fact, even though I love Hx2 and his cerebral play, I hope one of those guys can step up into his spot as a starter(except Dejo), because they are all incredible athletes that would look very good next to Urls and Lance.
  3. Just a few teams Jones I feel would be the starter for. Jets-Martin=old, Blaylock is nothing close to being an every down back or starter. Texans- Not a fan of Dom Davis, though he is adequate, he's not durable and really hasnt produced as much as some think (though I suppose being behind that dreadful O-line his entire career will do that). 49ers- Jones>>>>>>>Gore, Barlow, and especially Robinson.
  4. We sure could use that 7mil we blew on RMJ, to front load the hell out of Lance's deal, but you know it was a very necassary move. BTW, how much cap space do we have left? To answer my own question, this site claims we have $11.89, and I assume that doesnt factor in the $2 mil we allocated for rookies, so we have around $10mil. I would also assume a LARGE chunk of that is going in the pocket of Briggs this year. cap
  5. Man....Fhew.... Now THAT cleared everything up for me.... Other forums posted it.... So it MUST be true... He hasnt shown up to camp(neither has Briggs), that is the only thing we know now. No one other than TJ and our front office knows the truth here, and to speculate and draw conclusions from this would just be dumb. TJ wants a long term deal, who could blame him? He played very well during his two previous years of his contract, but to me, he hasnt proved he can play a full 16 games, which makes me feel he does not deserve a new deal. Rosensleaze is now affecting our org. in two vital positions, and that is what makes me mad.
  6. Tank and Olin have been involved in gun related circumstances(Olin with Fred Miller, so maybe thats what you think), I dont remember anything with Brown though, as far as Ive heard he's a stand up citizen. Also Manning Jr. wasnt involved in a gun related crime, which invalidates your statement even further.
  7. *(IR or PUP to start season, not included in count)* Offense ------- QB: Grossman | Griese l Orton RB: Jones | Benson | Peterson FB: Runnels | Johnson WR1: Muhammed | Gage | Currie WR2: Bradley | Berrian l Bragg TE: Clark | Day | Wallace LT: Tait | St. Clair l Levoir l Leffew LG: Brown | Garza l Leffew C: Kreutz | Garza RG: Metcalf | Garza l Leffew RT: Miller | St. Clair l Levoir l Leffew ---------------------------------------------------26 DEFENSE --------- LE: Ogunleye | Anderson | Long DT: Harris | Dvoracek | Idonije NT: Scott | Johnson | Boone RE: Brown | Anderson | Idonije WLB: Briggs | Joe l Williams MLB: Urlacher | Williams SLB: Hillenmeyer | Williams l Ayanbadejo LCB: Tillman | Manning Jr. | Wesley l Holly RCB: Vasher | Hester | Byrum l Amos FS: Manning | Harris SS: Brown | Harris | *McGowan* ---------------------------------------------------27 SPECIAL TEAMS... K: Gould | Huston P: Maynard | Huston KOS: Huston KR: Hester | Manning PR: Hester | Manning LS: Mannelly | Clark 57 PS ----- Reddick Slay Bunce Pope McClendon Reed Yes, mine is at 57, and for good reason. I think it will come down to the end of camp for guys like Leffew, Levoir, Amos, Byrum, and Holly(I know you wanted me to say Long and Bragg, but Craig looks studly in NFLE right now in the limited chances he's had, and Khari is everything we look for in a DE). All those guys would likely get picked up quickly by teams with less depth than ours. I want us to bring 11 DB's with us into the season, and I think that number depends solely on the next fact. I see us attempting to convert a CB to Safety in camp. Byrum or Amos would be preferable, as they could also play CB. Would be great if Wesley could learn this, as he would add depth there and is experienced at CB. Last ditch effort, Thompson or Marshall. What's yours.
  8. To add to this, if the NFL suspends him, we are not required to pay any of the money he is owed during the time he is gone. Also, if the NFL suspends him for this, it will be a sure fire fuse to set off his character clause and dump his entire contract. 99.9% of the NFL has this clause(that .1% is for the elite players who teams just care about getting signed, and RMJ is nowhere near that status, not even in the same galaxy), if he didnt, not only would I be shocked, but utterly disgusted by JA's work. Also, Badger, I would want his name signed on a FAT check before I even considered letting him off on this one if I was the victim. The disrespect of the act would make me want his ass in jail, but the greed in me would take the money over it if necassary. The DA will be sure to go after Ricky hard because hes already on probation, so my advice to him is to send the check in the mail today and hope for the best.
  9. Dont kill the messanger, weird to hear Mo Drew also charged, as he seemed to be a high character guy. RMJ is still on probation for his 02' assault conviction. I hope they dont let any of these punks walk away with a slap on the wrist after commiting such a meaningless and violent crime. rmj
  10. Everything I could hope to say about him you just wrote. Also, to add to this.... I really hope that Deion takes being the kids mentor seriously, because no one got more out his athleticism at CB than him. Everything I have read about their relationship is that Deion truely wants Devin to be great on and off the field, and truely believes he can be just that. He sounds dedicated to making sure this happens as he said he would take a call from him any time and would be there for him whenever. He is his idol, friend, mentor, and even sounds like a father figure to Devin, and I see no reason why Deion cant make him play up to all his athletic abilty. Here's to hoping Primtime and Anytime/Nightmare/Debo get some work done this offseason and many more to come in order to make him that player sooner rather than later.
