  1. Today the Bears cut: WR Craig Bragg WR Mark Philmore DB Dion Byrum, DB Abraham Elimimian DB Carlos Hendricks DT Delbert Cowsette RB Andre Hall S Jason Harmon G Travis Leffew LB Jermey Cain OL Steve Edwards No real surprises here, the Bears have 11 more cuts to go.
  2. This is a dark day in Bears history for sure. RIP Dwayne Slay
  3. I am somewhat pumped to see 3 quarters worth of real football tonight.

    Dwayne Slay

Thank god, he's been a waste of a roster space since being drafted. For a shit player who was never healthy he sure as hell got a lot of chances.

    Dwayne Slay

Dwayne Slay was almost imediately moved to LB when signed as an undrafted free agent after the draft. The problem is he's been hurt almost all of training camp so hasn't really been able to impress anyone with his hard hitting approach. That said, he's going to make the team, the Bears are hella-weak at linebacker, there's absolutely NO depth there (Odom sucks, Joe looks Ok and Williams is a rookie). Dwayne has all the tools to be a hell of a defensive player and that alone will get him a spot on the roster.
  6. I do believe the Bears already did that this year with Manning. I see the Bears addressing the O-Line in next year's draft more than anything.
  7. Harris is doing his damndest to adjust to either position, the way it's looking right now, once opening day hits if Mike Brown is healthy he'll be playing FS this year with Chris Harris moving up to SS. Lovie wants to take advantage of Brown's coverage skills which Chris Harris is definately lacking while at the same time utilizing Chris' ability to knock the piss out of anyone that gets in his way.
  8. It looks like Rashied will be taking over the slot this year, he's a very small, very fast converted DB with great hands, something the Bears usually don't have. It should be fun to see what he can do this year but to predict stats is pretty laughable, this is the most unpredictable offense in the history of professional football.
  9. I still thing D. Manning will end up starting before it's all said and done this year either because of incompatence on Harris' part or an injury to Brown. I just don't see Runnels getting enough time at FB this year to outproduce Manning in a rookie role.
  10. The backup QB is always the most popular guy in Chicago, people see him tear the shit out of defensive 2nd/3rd teamers and suddenly he's the toast of the town.
  11. Did you see the way Brian Griese tore through the 49ers' second team?!?! HE SHOULD BE THE STARTER!!111
  12. Grossman still in and still looking meh.
  13. Good to see the D-Line get a little pressure on Smith, he's been sitting back a little too comfy in the pocket. Looks like Griese will be taking over.
  14. That would make the most sense.
  15. He's up and walking around the sideline, I guess that's a good sign.
  16. I know he spells it weird, I could have looked it up but chose to wing it instead. Vasher
  17. Danielle Manning - #1 interest for me tonight. All I've heard all throughout camp is just how great he has looked out there. We'll just see how he looks during an actual game and Vs a real oponent.
  18. I, in fact, am not ready. However, I am sure once we approach gametime, my juices will start flowing a bit.
  19. While he's on the physically unable to perform list they'll be able to carry an extra player and AP will be moved up to #2 of course. Ff he's still on the list come the start of the season I believe then he'll have to miss a good amount of time, I'm not sure if it's the entire season or not but it's atleast 4 weeks. He did this during a team physical appearantly.
  20. Thomas Jones strained his hamstring this morning and has been placed on the physically unable to perform list. Looks like he'll be out for awhile. per ESPN 1000
  21. Hasn't he been a collossal ass since joining the Broncos? I really think that's the last thing the Bears need at this point in time.
  22. Cheesus, this is just getting sad he can't run without doing something to his legs. How they hell did this guy ever compete in track?
  23. Ya, this is a pretty pathetic thread. Perhaps it's time to put it out of its misery.
