Bears sign TE Clark to extension
Thats a pretty good reason to bring him back. He finally has been healthy, and he has definitely been productive. It wont hurt to have him and Olsen in a double TE set

Chicago Bears News/Discussion Catch-All Thread
Foster has been an injury liability for his entire career. When healthy, he is a dynamic runner and is very good at catching passes out of the backfield, but he just cannot stay healthy

Thayer says Orton should start
So he gets no credit for the 15 wins, but he gets all of the blame for the 4 losses? I know the defense was a big part of what they did, but these kind of statements are just ridiculous

Many solid signings or 1/2 big signings?
Angelo knows how to work the cap, im pretty sure he could do both if he wants to. I dont think he is gonna spend all of the cap money on Faneca, thats for sure

HOW ABOUT THOMAS?
Thomas would probably be a great option, but that guy has had some concussion problems the last couple years. It would not do the Bears any good to sign Thomas to replace Briggs and watch him take a hit in the first game and sit the rest of the year like Dan Morgan. A guy with concussion problems who is in his later years as a player is someone you want to avoid, despite his career(see: Trent Green)

Do We Keep Arch?...
Someone needs to import the Soxtalk Hawk icon "He Gawn!" Because Archuleta most certainly should be gone
- McNabb?

McNabb?
LOL, jagbag. Ok. While you are trying to think of ways to make the team a contender, try and think within the rules, and try to understand you cannot sign and trade players as if this was the NBA.

McNabb?
How many times have you traded the Bears 2nd and 3rd Round picks (and either Anderson or Brown) since the season ended? Just wondering

Chicago Bears News/Discussion Catch-All Thread
I dont know, the wikipedia entry doesnt have anything about it, and I cant dig anything up about him on google edit: never mind, he was assistant Dline coach in 2003

Trade Hester
quite possibly the best smily ever

Trade Hester
Please give up dreaming for Derek Anderson. He isnt coming, and if he was, you would quickly realize that he isnt as great as you think he is. Certainly not great enough to warrant a 1st and 3rd

Mariotti finally says something I agree with
You must have missed the whole "Chet Coppock works for ESPN1000" part of the story.

Mariotti finally says something I agree with
Connor, you couldnt be more right if you tried. A few months back, Mariotti spoke to the graduating class at Syracuse University and told them that it wasnt his job to criticize other members of the media. Sure looks like it.

7 RD mock draft I saw
Flacco had a pretty good college career. He originally went to Pitt but wanted to start right away so he transferred to Delaware St. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/stats?playerId=146278

Could Minny target Berrian & Rex???
Does not run? http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JackTa00.htm While he isnt Michael Vick, he has his moments. he ran 54 times for 260 yards last year, i wouldnt say that he does not run. Plus, why would he really have to run all that much? He is handing the ball off to AP and Taylor

7 RD mock draft I saw
this is apples and oranges, Mandarich was the second overall pick in the draft, not a second round pick. Mandarich' problem was that the he didnt live up to the media expectations of "the best offensive lineman ever", and the Packers had to deal with all of the players that they missed in the first round(Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas and Deion Sanders were in the same draft. total draft list). Will everyone be lamenting what 2nd round and 3rd round picks the Bears missed on because they selected Flacco? Doubtful. What has Flacco done to lower his value? I have heard nothing that indicates that Flacco is messing up at his workouts, and all I am hearing is good things about him.

Could Minny target Berrian & Rex???
i dont know that Minnesota is done with Tavaris Jackson, and I doubt Rex would want to come into a situation to compete against someone who has a year head start on him in the offense. i wouldnt put it past Minnesota to try it, but I dont know

Donte Stallworth
you beat me to the punch, the guy cannot stay healthy. He is electric when healthy, but he just cant stay on the field

Hester needs to be used like Wes Welker
Is this question also in reference to Hester switching positions? In that case I would have to say that Hines Ward is one. However, the caveat is that Ward was a QB in college, so the idea of route running and patterns is probably burned into his brain anyways.

Hester needs to be used like Wes Welker
Welker has also been a wide reciever for his entire life, so it isnt as if he is learning a new position on the fly like Hester. The only true difference between Hester and Welker in the slot is the polish that Welker has in the position. Hester is just extremely raw.

Will we win with Urlacher?
I also do not understand your reasoning behind saying that it is almost a guarantee that Urlacher retires.
