This defense might not get another stop the rest of this game. Just unreal how bad they are at all positions.
-
I really love the play designs by Gase and this offense. Really refreshing to have coordinators that tailor gameplans based around their opponents.
-
This defense is just... so.. bad. I wish we had some real pass rushers. Everybody is so slow.
-
That may have been the slowest 108 yard kickoff return I've ever seen. Is that a TE running it back? Seriously??
-
According to Hub, Forte was ranked as the 38th best RB last week. Frankly, I think PFF grades are kind of garbage.

4-12, 5-11, here we come! Very good chance they start the year 0-3. Think we can officially label Alshon as injury prone now. Something is always bothering him..

I suppose it's possible he may have favored the other side of his body more, but he probably just isn't in game shape yet. He's been doing next to nothing for a month and then suddenly gets thrust into game action with only a few days of practice. Can't say I'm surprised this happened.

I've been advocating the Bears to draft a specialist ever since they got rid of Hester. They really need a game changer there.

The difference in the game was this: Bears: 1/3 in the redzone (33%) Packers: 4/5 in the redzone (80%) The Bears offense missed on some key opportunities that could have turned the game around, but our defense put up no resistance vs the Packer's offense. It was waaaaay too easy. The yardage stats don't tell the whole story. Yuu have to take time of possession into account, and the overall efficiency of GB. They had a lot of explosive plays and didn't need as many plays to score as Chicago did. For the eternal optimists, this is the gameplan the Cowboys ran with all of last season, and they got pants'd by SF in game 1 before winning 6 in a row. I highly doubt that will be the case here, but if the Bears can continue to run the ball like this, they are going to be in close games all year.

As far as one game goes-- Offense gets a thumbs up, defense gets a thumbs down. Pleasantly surprised with how well the Bears ran the ball despite seeing multiple 8 man fronts all game long. Really good scheming and execution by Adam Gase with the limited options he has. Defensively, the Bears got ZERO QB hits on Rodgers. Not a good first impression made by Fangio, but this team just doesn't have any talent. They need to win next week or they will be facing an 0-3 start right off the bat.

The Bears had the perfect gameplan that almost worked. The offense has to convert all of their redzone drives into touchdowns instead of 3 points. You can get away with it against bad and mediocre teams, but usually not against the best teams. I put fault in the offense there, but the reality is the defense is still absolutely god awful and held them back all day. If they could have gotten a few more stops, the Bears are playing from ahead, and Cutler isn't forced to throw the ball as much late in the 4th quarter, which means no INT.
-
The Bears are running with the right formula, but it's not going to work when you are constantly playing from behind. Pack still put 31 on this team, despite the Bears dominating much of the time of possession early in this game. Frustrating loss to start the year. Could have felt better if Cutler didn't throw that pick, but you see it's just never going to change.

Lmao. There it is.
-
Kevin White would have taken that for 7.
-
If I'm not mistaken both teams have scored points on every possession but one. The difference is of course converting them into 7 instead of 3..
-
Packers continue to make impossible catches.
-
Oh ffs, shut the hell up. All you have to do is go back a page to see what I wrote about the first half. If you want positivity all the time, this is not the place to find it.
-
Missed delay of game call.. Of course.
-
This drive will be the difference in the game.
-
The pressure the Bears are getting on Rodgers is negated by poor gap integrity by the other guys. Either the middle or the opposite side is left wide open for Rodgers to make a play.
-
Man, this defense really sucks.. Can't get off the field. Going to probably need a turnover at some point to have a shot at winning.
-
Forte has GOT to catch that. Packers have been making all kinds of tough catches. Needed 7 there..
-
That was about as bad a special teams/defensive series as you can have. No resistance whatsoever. Looks like the last two years all over again.
-
The kick off coverage has been atrocious. Basically delivering free points to GB on this drive. Now the defense is giving up yards in chunks. Not a good start..

Really good half. Need to force a 3 and out to start the second half and continue to pound the football on the ground. Lets go!
