RT competition
I'm just saying last year against non speed guys he held his own. For example he gave up just 1 sack in 4 games vs Jared Allen and Cliff Avril who are more technique based pass rushers. I'd like to see him get more reps vs SMC than Peppers who I think Webb can handle.

Thanks twiggy, Jackman is the only guy i wasn't following...saw the Webb tweet....Still very early though. I'd like to see SMC on Webb all camp, he's our best speed rusher and thats what Webb needs to work on.

training camp
The thing that the Saints and Kromer have done over the years is give their OTs help from the OGs. Webbs weakness has always and will probably forever be in space against speed rushers. In real games I don't think he'll be going 1 on 1 vs a bad matchup, he'll be getting help from Hot Tub(love that nickname) or Long. Thus creating less space in a 2 on 1 scenario which they should win 9 times out of 10..... I'm more worried about the chemistry Webb and Long or Brown create.

Who was it? I could use some new guys to follow who are at training camp.

Can someone link me to the reports on how bad he was? Only thing I've read was the right side of the line still looked iffy. Once again not saying you guys are wrong I'd just like to see the reports. Maybe I'm missing a good person/site to follow training camp....The usuals I follow didn't mention anything about Webb in particular.

Hurray for bringing this up after 1 day of pads...smh.... If Scott looks good playing with the 2nd team then he'll get a shot with the first team, it's that simple. Our DEs go somewhat deep so I venture to believe Scott is going up against some talented pass rushers on the 2nd team. Also, not that I don't believe you, where did you see that SMC is owning Webb? SMC is a speed rusher, and they're going 1 on 1 ie in space, that's what Webb struggles, it's no surprise he's getting burned. Chances are in the regular season he won't be going 1 on 1 vs a speed rusher though.

Ryan Swope retires
Swope had to retire due to past concussions. Almost everyone here, including myself, wanted him in the 4th, 5th, and 6th round. Glad we dodged that bullet. Fell bad for Swope though, he looked like he could have been Welker 2.0 with more speed. http://www.foxsportsarizona.com/nfl/arizon...amp;feedID=3801

Ellis retires
Wow, that sucks and is very unexpected. Seymour's still out there along with Okoye and Big Toe among others. I'd like to see Peppers be used inside on passing downs along with Melton and have any combo of SMC/Moore/Wooton/Washington on the outside.

Training Camp Surprise
I don't think we have to have a whipping boy, esp if the Bears are successful.... But if I had to pick someone I'd say Kelvin Hayden. I really would have liked to see a CB drafted as I don't think Hayden is that great and the secondary might suffer.

Training Camp Surprise
Unga is a player who has never been given the opportunity to play the position scouts thought he'd be relegated to, FB. Given the opportunity to play FB I think he may surprise, esp. if Trestman wants to throw the ball to the FB like he has in the past. My thoughts on Webb are well documented here so it would be no surprise to me to see him surprise other who have hated him. I just think getting him off the proverbial island will do a lot in covering up his biggest weakness which is playing in space. Getting help against tough speed pass rushers from the OG will help a lot. I'm not saying he'll be an all pro but I think this year will be the year he's no longer Chicagos favorite whipping boy.

Sleeper Prospect Fendi Onobun
You've gotta like the fact that he and Martellus went to high school together. That could very well be huge in getting him to "get it". I could imagine those 2 would love to become the best TE duo in the NFL

Training Camp Surprise
I'm gonna go outside the box and give you 2 guys I HOPE are surprises.... Fendi Onubun- If things ever click for him he's going to be a nightmare. Harvey Unga- I don't know a damn thing about the new FB the Bears signed but he seems more like a traditional FB and I really wanted to see the Bears utilize an H-Back instead. I've been quietly pulling for Unga to take that role since they cut ERod. Unga has really good hands and he has a FBs body. Oh and of course the guy who I think will surprise??? J'Marcus Webb.... Though I bet every article written about him will be taken as strictly a "fluff piece" on here.

TalkBears2 FF League
I've actually never been in a PPR league but I'm cool with it.

TalkBears2 FF League
I'm in it to win it....I agree with Pixote though, lets not make this an autodraft.

SO its time to get cutting
As was thrown out there months ago I'm a PFF guy. Moore ranked 9th in the NFL in "Pass rush productivity" last year. I think the Bears may have a steal in this kid. He's said to be pretty bad vs the run though so if he doesn't make the team I'd venture to believe that's why. I think it'd be wise to keep him on the roster though in case of injuries.

SO its time to get cutting
I think Moore, Ellis, and Collins are close to locks for this team.

Well now the battle is on with the O-line
I'm not saying you are wrong, but how wasn't it close to a true WCO? Shanahan, his coach in Denver, is a perceived run first guy but the run/pass splits weighed heavily towards the pass in Jays best year, 620-387.
-
Well now the battle is on with the O-line
His years in Denver tend to disagree with the bold statement. They ran a version of the WCO there and he thrived in it.

Patriots offer fans Hernandez Jersey Exchange

WTF?????? Marshall, Jeffrey and Johnson????
And I have no problem with you disagreeing at all, I respect your opinion. For now on just don't resort to personal attacks in your arguments and this board will be a lot more enjoyable. Alright now I'm done lol.

WTF?????? Marshall, Jeffrey and Johnson????
I know what kind of poster you are....I won't attack your intelligence if you don't attack mine...it's as simple as that. done

WTF?????? Marshall, Jeffrey and Johnson????
My thing is, is I don't start it but I won't let it slide. Especially when the remark is about my intelligence, and not my football intelligence at that. When you get personal I'm not gonna just ignore it because knowing this guy it will only continue. So I wanna get it out of the way now that isn't going to fly with me. Pretty much all I'm saying is...to quote some rapper.... Don't start no shit won't be no shit. I don't wanna have no stupid online feud here, its dumb, I'm better than that.

WTF?????? Marshall, Jeffrey and Johnson????
I have no problem with his opinion on Chad, I'm skeptical myself. It's not that part that got that response out of me. It was the clear shot at me from the other thread, that he said he was done with, that perked my response. I will not have my intelligence continually challenged and I want to make that a point before it continues and I'm due to block his posts. I respect his opinion and enjoy reading most of his posts when he isn't being a tool. All I'm saying is leave the personal shots at the door and this will be a much more enjoyable message board...Maybe we can even bring some people out of the wood works to post because they see there opinion isn't going to get shit on.
