May 29, 201510 yr comment_148962 With the recent OTAs a few things we learned. Ferguson is lighter which puts him in play for LDT position. I think with McDonald's circus life, Ego,and Ratliff moving to RDT that those will be our starting DTs. Forte's here and Marty is not. Funny thing is both Bennett brothers are holding out for their respective teams. Report
May 29, 201510 yr comment_148968 Martellus had issues with the plays last year and not being in OTAs to learn a new playbook isn't going to help him. Don't think the new Bears brass aren't aware of his suspension during training camp last year. They aren't going to commit more money to him without seeing him work first. His issues with the plays early last year resulted in a couple INTs. Of course Cutler got the blame but IMO Bennett ran the routes wrong or read the coverage wrong. For his part, Martellus has to know we aren't throwing the ball his way as much this year as we did last year so he won't have those high numbers again. I can't say I blame him for trying but I think his strategy is the wrong one. Report

They tried to get him to sign here and the chose to go back to the Seahawks for less money than what the Bears were offering. Report

Yep he signs a deal then complains about it the next year by not showing up. Report
