The defense is improving, but they have several steps to go. The pressure is almost non-existent, and sacks like McPhee's are almost always coverage sacks.

Fangio needs to start drawing up some exotic stuff. Smith has enough time to do his taxes back there. McPhee's sack was the first time anybody got anywhere close to the quarterback.

Wasn't a chop block. A chop block is when they high-low an opponent. Unfortunately he just got cut, and low blocks by offensive linemen are legal in just about every way. It's why I loved the old school Denver Bronco running game when they were pumping out nobodies for 1000+ yards every year. Guys like Olandis Gary. Lots and lots of low blocks at the knees of big ol' 300lb defensive linemen. It wears them down tremendously.

Defense is still not playing bad, 10 pts given up is decent in a half. I just hate that picket fence defense there, why not just play 10-15 yards off the LOS instead of 30?
