On Monday the coaching staff should do nothing but work on basic tackling techniques. I'm talking about breakdowns, driving the legs, wrapping up. Peewee stuff.

I have yet to see a DB turn his head around on a deep ball the whole year. If I were the opposition, that's all I would do. Throw deep and you can score easily. This defense lacks playmakers and nobody seems interested in intercepting passes.

This one takes the cake though, no one ruled a TD on the field which makes the reversal that much worse. I am so pissed.

Absolutely nobody understands what constitutes a catch in the NFL anymore. The announcers, the rules interpreters, the former players, the current players. That's pretty crazy. I don't know what the replay guy up in the booth is doing, but I thought for sure the Bears would get the benefit of that.

I expected better from this team going up against an 0-5 team. The offense is moving the ball, but a lack of redzone execution is really hurting their chances to take the game over. The defense has put up no resistance whatsoever and getting no pressure on the QB. The Lions offensive line is awful. It seems like if McPhee isn't making something happen, this defense can't do anything. He hasn't made an impact on the game yet. Seems like the D goes as he goes.

Damn, after another stellar drive, an INT.

I just watched the INT 10 times in row, and I'm behind the action, but that's an atrocious play by Alshon. He had a slow get off, poor juke off the line, didn't get the edge for the outside fade, and made zero effort after the DB contacted him.

 

Not a great throw by Cutler - it should have been further into the corner - but it would be nice if Alshon looked remotely good on that play.

 

Having said all that, I hate the Bears' play-calling in the red zone this year.

I wonder if the Bears lead the league in dropped passes. They have to be close after these last two weeks.

Cutler has to run out of the pocket on every other play. If his initial three-step drop isn't there, he's in trouble.

 

And then a drop by Wilson.

And then another play where Cutler has to run.

A lot of drops, Wilson has to catch that.

Damn good route by Forte. If Cutler hits him Forte might still be running.

God damn this is ridiculous. Cutler's accuracy is way off.

Is it possible that the Bears are just a really undisciplined team? Kyle Long didn't even have to reach out to block on that play. Forte already had the edge.

Completely unacceptable performance by the offense. Is that 5 trips to the redzone with only one TD now?
