Musgrave out in Oakland

At first glance, I was surprised, given how good the Raiders offense was when Carr was healthy. When you read the article, I can kind of understand some of those beefs, albeit I don't watch enough Raider football to have an opinion. That said, given Fox's pendance for running the football, I can't see hiring Musgrave, who was knocked for ignoring the ground game too much. Now the getting conservative with lead part...that style is right up Fox's alley (vs. Del Rio who is about as aggressive as it gets).

Im hoping McCoy stays available and becomes the assiant HC and take over the play calling . Promise him Foxes job when his contract is up. He is a good offensive mind with a Fox history.

Looks like Denver is serious about the QB and offense as they make Mike McCoy OC and Musgrave QB coach today. Any chance they try and trade up for a QB or keep going with Lynch and Siemen?

If they do that, I'd be all over Lynch. I wanted the Bears to draft him last year. I think the Broncos like what they have in Lynch (and Siemen, for where they drafted him, looks solid too).

I wouldn't. If they do that in the midst of a "bad QB" draft they are telling the world they made a big mistake last year. I would however give them a 5th Rd pick for their troubles and take Lynch in exchange.

I liked Lynch last year too but wondered how he'd fare coming out of a 1-and-run system (1 read that is), especially since he played at a program that seeing competition well below the NFL level. He hasn't done well at all. Mariotta came out of a 1-and-run system too but he transitioned far better. With so many college's using this style of offense it makes me wonder how you figure out who can quickly discern the reads across the field?

Why would they trade lynch? they brought in coaches to help develop him. McCoy and Musgrave.
