Mack, Shaheen, Nichols, and Robinson All Back at Practice

Featured Replies

The expectation is for Shaheen to get a full week of practice but still sit this week from what I've seen from the beat writers.

Either way, very promising and close to getting a viable 7th option for Trubisky (Robinson, Gabriel, Miller, Burton, Howard, Cohen) and now Shaheen. You can only have 5 but Burton/Shaheen with 2 to 3 WRs or Cohen will be fun.

Shaheen represents another chance to take advantage of a defense's weakness.  They can't all be on the field but having a viable 2 TE pass catching threat definitely changes what Nagy has to work with when calling plays.

Shaheen is a huge redzone target. If he figures out how to use that body there are not many LBs or DBs that can defend him.

yes, we are clearly on our way to an amazing offense. we still look like we're totally out of sync, with no real rhythm, and still already coring 28+ a game. when they get it all together and the light comes on for Trubisky, it's gonna be lights out for NFL defenses.

Timing couldn't be better either.  We will need as many weapons as we can get on offense and getting Robinson back and next week (vs Vikings) will help a lot.  It is encouraging that even with the offensive flaws we've had thus far a lot of room to grow we are putting points on the board and winning games.  When the offense gets it's legs under it watch out NFL.  What a change this season has been.  We are installing a legit NFL offense without sacrificing on the defensive side of the ball.  Get both phases humming at the same time the Bears could become scary good.  Been a long time since we could say that.  Still work to be done to get there but the arrow is pointing up.

Some reports that Shaheen will make his return against the Vikings. Haven't seen the major media definitely report yet, but it seems like a reasonable assumption. They are still being very quiet on Robinson which makes me think it might only be Mack who makes his return this week.
