February 13, 20197 yr comment_174129 Since Amos is going to get paid 6-8 mil a year, I don't see him back. He has played well but isn't a playmaker, so that should not be hard to replace. Bush is the obvious choice and may do well, but keep this name in mind. Clayton Geathers, 6.2 220 , had 87 tackles last year with 3 PDs and 1 forced fumble. He was drafted by Pagano in Indy and will not command a big contract. Report

I think he would fit in quite well in Nagys offense. I think Cleveland just killed his trade market. in a 4 year career he's never rushed for more than 400 yards. As a receiver he's done well but that means he's not so much a compliment to Cohen's skills rather he's a duplicate. We need a RB who can do both well and it might take a couple years to fill the spot. In the meantime we can win with Jordan Howard while we add someone else to the mix. Report
February 16, 20197 yr Author comment_174137 He's 5.9 210. In his career he has never been given the lead roll. In 4 years he has rushed for 1286 yards for a 4.3 average. 239 catches 2170 yards 9.2 ypc. Total 12 TDs. He is not a power back but I think he would fit well in our system as a compliment to Howard and Cohen. In 2017 before Chubb got there he had 1041 total yards with 7 TDs. I think if we drafted a 5th round back that contributed those stats, we would say that was a success. Report

But trading a pick for a 3rd RB on our roster and who has these cap hits over the next four seasons: $3.9mil, $3.0mil, $4.9mil, and $5.9mil doesn't fit well within our cap space. I don't see him taking Howards snaps and I don't see him ahead of Cohen either. Down the road he's got the money Cohen will command so we wouldn't be keeping both two years from now. IMO we'd be better off to use the draft pick on a rookie RB and spend that cap space on safety, NB, edge, or Oline depth. Report
