Fields Ranked 13th among NFL QBs

Featured Replies

Surprise here to see Fields ranked among the top 15.  Also shocking is seeing him ranked ahead of Rodgers (14) and Stafford (22).  This author also has Brock Purdy listed as 15th best QB in the NFL which is just ridiculous IMO...and I'm a fan of Purdy's.

At the QB position, Fields deserves to be ranked but not because of passing. Next year, ill say he takes a step, 3500- 28-11. 800 rushing with 8 tds..

Fields was 17th in QBR, and that was with some brutal games early on (5.6 QBR against GB and 16.2 vs HOU), so 13-15th is about right for him over the entire season. Fields 95.9 against MIA was the 2nd best QBR game of the season. He also had the 13th best game against GB with a 92.0. Only Mahomes had more games in the top 13 (3) than Fields (2).

To put that into perspective, here were the top games of some other notable NFC QBs:

Hurts 89.5
Brady 87.1
Dalton 83.6
Cousins 82.4
Rodgers 82.0
Goff 80.8

Fields now needs consistency and to raise his floor. He had 7 games with a QBR under 40 (bad) and 5 over 70 (great).

In 2019= 238 passes, 67℅, 3273 yards, 41 TDs, 3 int.

I think he can pass. The covid year  screwed up his development and then the Nagy fiasco. Last year was his first development session. Year 2 is coming.

Everybody is always open in the osu offense. Doesn’t matter the qb or receivers. Just scan and hit the guy running free

I agree with you about OSU , tons of talent, but traits can still stick out, leader , hard worker, strong arm, deep throw accuracy, good running QB. It got him drafted early.
