True, I thought about slashing that as DE/DT. Even with Dexter, Billings, and Pickens they can still use another good player to add to the rotation. We will find a vet FA to take that role this year. Payton got rid of Wilson at a big expense because he's a tool. Tomlin won't put up with crap from Wilson. Justin will start at least 14 games this year, clearly a better QB than Wilson at his age. IMO I talked to a Seattle fan and said Wilson is a ego tripper and aleiniates his teammates. Tomlin gets rid of malcontents. So technically they now have traded a 2025 4th for Ryan Bates. With the potential of 3x 6ths, I can see them using one or two of them to move up in the 4th or 5th round (or to the back of the previous round). Also the Steelers invested heavily on offense in the draft early with two O-line picks that figure to start and a WR who will probably contribute, so if they help as expected it might help Russell Wilson look good for a while. We thought we didn’t have much draft capital this year, but we had two top ten picks and another day 2 pick. adam Posted April 30 Report Share Posted April 30 An interesting tie in with the 2025 draft is Fields' play in 2024. Also, since PIT declined his 5th-year option, he will be a free agent in 2025. So technically, the Steelers could get back a comp pick for him in 2026 if he signs a big enough deal with another team, which could negate the pick they traded to the Bears in 2025 (a year later).
