I see McDonald and Zion Young have been scheduled for a visit. I don't think McDonald fits the speedy DT but it only depends on what the bears think.

If you take Roushar at his word that these visits are to clear up some details on issues with prospects and not necessarily firming up profiles on the guys you like. Zion needs to account for his DUI but I'd expect they already did that at either Senior Bowl or Combine. Then you have McDonald with no character or medical issues I'm aware of. Seems like lying season is in full swing.

Was listening to Greg Gabriel and he was saying that all our picks were brought in for visits. . That all visits aren't announced. I don't think there is a league rule that says you have to announce visits just stay under 30. It's usually agents that provide that information and some are asked not to say anything.

With all due respect, Greg Gabriel is wrong a LOT.

I'm not saying he a football God, but he knows agents and has friends still working in the NFL. I trust him more than most football pundits or random fans. None of them get everything right sometimes his sources give bad information. At least his time in the NFL gives him some creed over some of these pundits that never played football or stepped a foot in a locker room.

Of all the permutations in the first round nobody gets it right. Gabriel has not been in the best health the last few years and there are times you can see him physically struggling. I’m not sure he cares about clicks, likes, or followers. I think he’s just an old football guy like us who enjoys chatting about the draft prospects. He freely admits he doesn’t have all the info on these prospects but is willing to share his thoughts on what he sees and hears. I’m so far off the wall I watched a video with Phil Emery talking about Dline prospects.

LOL @ the Phil Emery video! I know what you mean, this time of year we are so hungry for information, and there just isnt any to be had, lying season and all that.

That said, I still think Greg Gabriel has the worst takes around. I don't trust him as a source at all. He said Caleb would be terrible and we should keep Fields. He even said that he had inside info that we would trade that first pick and keep Fields. I mean that alone should make anything else he says highly suspect.

Everything I talk about is not intentionally directed at you. I gave my reasons why I trust him and your argument is he never gets anything right. I follow him and you don't so your take what other people say as meaningful reasons to not like him. I don't care

Show me where he said Caleb was terrible? I've been following him for 5 years and never saw that .

. If anyone wants to watch some good bears content Gabriel Talks Football on Barroom Network. It has the best opening in Bears Nation. He has a lot of good football people on there.

No i dont think you or we were arguing. If you mean the phrase "argument of authority" that means like a logical argument, and its a classic logical mistake, but it doesnt mean like angry arguing or anything like that - we arent. You havent said anything like that in a while, alls well here with me. No fight here.

Im just saying i think he's an idiot, so for me, his opinion isnt proof of anything. And I just offered that he said we would keep Fields and trade the Caleb pick. He said he had inside info about that, and clearly, he was lying or being lied to - either way, it it proof that you cant trust those reports from him.

It's okay to have your opinion. Maybe if you followed him you would change it. One take he got wrong about does not detract from his years of experience. I said he's not always right, you think when I say things that everything is absolute. You ignore my other comments.

I watched Phil several times on your recommendation and don't disagree with some of his opinions, it's his arrogance I don't like. The other guy is fine.

Also, if you get a chance to watch "Cars Keys" on TTNL, he and Shayne talk and he is VERY smart about GM stuff and the cap. And Phil isn't on that show.

On his free shows on youtube Phil is basically just being arrogant, but if you pay the $10, and watch his film analysis this time of year, and ignore his personaility, it's the best stuff out there I think. Starting with it isnt just highlights, but the good the bad and the ugly. It's why I dont like Zion Young while most people do. That TTNL tape looked a lot different than the highlight reels do. And I saw him taking plays off, giving half effort and not being a high motor guy.

This time of year it's a good $10 to spend. He goes in depth with a lot of the possible guys we could draft, and you can watch an hour of tape, along with excellent analysis about footwork, assignments, routes etc etc for anyone interested, it's excellent.

I don't subscribe to any pundits but do The Athletic and Chicago Tribune. I'll look up ( Car Keys).

I don't mind Shayne at all. Him and Phil are on CHGO after dark once a week with Greg. I agree more with Phil on takes than Shayne. I just can't listen for a long time to arrogant people. I swear he thinks he's never been wrong on anything.

I don't like Phil but I don't call him a moron because I know he's not. Gabriel isn't either .
