May 15, 200817 yr comment_38982 I think he'll be released or traded...Cleveland is deep at OL and hes become expendable. Hes slated as a center, but could easily switch to G. Hes been on the DL because of (I think) a staph infection and post infection problems. Id love to get him if hes released or trade a late pick for him. Pretty much, there is no downside and hed be a great addition. Report
May 15, 200817 yr comment_38983 The only way we could consider something like that if he is given a contract based predominately on performance. He signed a pretty big contract and hasnt even played. If we could work out something like that with him it would be a very good move because he can back up Kruetz and more than likely start at either of the guard positions. Report
May 15, 200817 yr comment_38985 The big question is whether he'll be even close to the player he was pre-injury. Bentley was a probowl caliber player prior to going down and if the Bears believe he would get healthy than I think he would be a tremendous pick-up at the guard spot. Report
