LeCharles Bentley

I think he'll be released or traded...Cleveland is deep at OL and hes become expendable. Hes slated as a center, but could easily switch to G. Hes been on the DL because of (I think) a staph infection and post infection problems. Id love to get him if hes released or trade a late pick for him. Pretty much, there is no downside and hed be a great addition.

The only way we could consider something like that if he is given a contract based predominately on performance. He signed a pretty big contract and hasnt even played. If we could work out something like that with him it would be a very good move because he can back up Kruetz and more than likely start at either of the guard positions.

The big question is whether he'll be even close to the player he was pre-injury. Bentley was a probowl caliber player prior to going down and if the Bears believe he would get healthy than I think he would be a tremendous pick-up at the guard spot.

agreed...

Seem as though it could be a good pick up at the right price...obviously depending on health as well.
