I hope he plays. I work in Indy and if they beat us without Manning, it will be over for me. If we beat them, they will have the biggest of excuses and the win will also not benefit me. I'm sure all Bears fans want to see the beloved bury Manning in the new turf of Lucas Oil Stadium!! Report
July 15, 200817 yr Author comment_41572 Well I feel for you working in Indy. LOL But at this point in the season(early) I will take a win any way we can get it. With or without Manning. But I'm sure he will be playing he has the next longest streak of starting after the Great Farve. Report
July 15, 200817 yr comment_41573 Interesting, are we getting suckered into some "super hype"...LOL First they said B Sanders may start be able to start the seaon opener Then they said that D Freeny may not be able to start the opener Next there was speculation if M Harrison will return healthy from his injury Now P Manning undergoes surgery and will miss at least most of training camp Why is it that I am thinking all 4 will be lined up against us in the opener? Report
July 15, 200817 yr Author comment_41577 IMHO all the players will be on the field, but if they are hurting or still recovering that makes it just a better chance that the Bears start the season with a win. Report

July 15, 200817 yr comment_41597 The actual surgery was pretty minor, it was more the fact that it was infected that makes the recovery a bit longer (as he'll be on antibiotics and such). Still, I'd be shocked if he isn't taking the opening day snap against the Bears. Report
July 15, 200817 yr comment_41599 I guarantee all 4 will be in the lineup, but all we can hope for is that they won't be in sync for the 1st week and we benefit from it. I would take that. Report

July 16, 200817 yr comment_41657 There was a post awhile back that said Freeney, Sanders, and another important member of the Colts may not even be in action on Opening Night. Report
