The Perfect Storm

Featured Replies

Benson with over 100 yds.

Ocho Cinco with over 100 yds.

Bengals score on their 1st 5 possessions.

Bears absolutely, positively got their asses handed to them in th 1st half.

Hanie should be in soon as their is no point in sending Jay out there.

This team will not make the playoffs.

Peace :dabears

I think this game conclusively proves that Ron Turner is not an NFL-caliber offensive coordinator. Does he have a single play in his playbook that isn't a long bomb over the middle?

So the main problem for you this game is the offense? How about the fact the defense has not stopped the Bengals once unless you count the Field goal.

My biggest problem is the Bears lines. The offensive line was awful and the defensive line might have even bêen worse. What an absolute joke.

I agree, the Oline and Dline were flat out awful.

The cover-2 vs. the 2009 Bengals...

DL predominantly rushes around the edges, and the DTs get no push.

OL gets huge push, run-blocks well, and the RB is a sledgehammer.

DBs play off the ball, never bump-and-run, and cover "areas"

A talented group of WRs run free through what is essentially a timid zone, while a QB with pin-point precision continually finds the holes built into the cover-2.

The 2009 Bengals are perfectly built to destroy the cover-2. Perfect Storm, indeed.

It was a very bad day and nothing went right. We need to get up, jump back on and realize that some changes have to be made. It won't be coaching but some personnel changes and schemes for now. We have 10 games left and to think that it's over so early is quite saddening.

If Lovie doesn't think changes have to be made and stays course with the same results. Then addios, thanks for the SB year!

Don't forget how bad the Special Teams has fallen as well. No one on this team should feel safe come the end of the season which as it stands after yesterday's debacle will be on January 3, 2010. Major changes still need to be done for most of this team and it should start with management and specifically the GM.
