Maynard gone

Featured Replies

Thank for the leg Brad...

You did well for a long while.

But, it's time to move on.

Should say 'Maynard gone'

Too many shanked punts last year and not enough leg strength.

How bad does the timing suck? The guy's been waiting for months. The lock-out is resolved and he finds out his career might be done. This wasn't a shock as the papers reported we want Steve Weatherford, but it's just a tough nature of the business.

Thanks for a great 10 years and good luck Brad.

Sometimes I forget about those years with the Giants. He had a long career. Anyone recall how his season went not last year, but the year before that?

same as every other season.

Ive had enough watching him shank punts just when we needed a good one the most

2009 wasn't that much better. The Bears have been at or near the bottom of the league in average punt length and in average punt net gain for a couple years now. In 2010 the Bears were horrid, netting 34 yards per punt, 4 yards worse than in 2009 when they were near the bottom of the league. That's the kind of thing that swings a game or two when people aren't paying attention.
